This thread again, cue all the cool kids saying graphics don't matter, or ruin games.
Yes, I care about graphics. I enjoyed crysis far more than any FPS since Half life 2 (which, guess what kids, had stellar graphics for the time as well). I love Gran Tourismo games because of the attention to detail.
Look, I'm not saying games that aren't running top end, spastic powered graphics can't be good, that's not what defines graphics. The art should be clear, it should suit the game play and an appropriate level of detail never goes amiss, physics effects are also nice in some types of games. Cell shaded games often look brilliant, especially on smaller screens (zelda on the DS was amazing). Look, basically graphics do matter, and I've yet to find a good game, that I've genuinely liked, that had poor graphics for the era.

Awhh well back to CIV 2 WOOOHOOO! I love that game.
Civ 2 is an example of a game with good graphics, the screen isn't cluttered (it's easy to see what's going on), it's functional, it runs well etc. Good graphics is not synonymous with 10,000,000 pixels
