I got given a second-hand iPod when my sister upgraded hers. I'm using it because my Sony player broke and I can't afford a new shiny mp3 right now, but I hate it. I really, really do. I hate iTunes and I HATE syncing and I hate the way Apple software assumes you're a brainless idiot. I find it really hard to talk to people who have or want Apple products!

I have an iPod Touch and I am in a constant love/hate relationship with it.
Love: -All kinds of cool apps
- One of the few (decent) with more than 16GB of storage
HATE: - iTunes
- No drag and drop music
- Apple wanting to know ALL about me
- You have to jailbreak it for third party apps
- No flash
etc.

A friend of mine recommended me to get an Archos Internet tablet. In hindsight I should have done that. X|

I hate apple. I own a Zune, and my PC has Windows 7. Feels good, man.

Apple is no worse than any other big company, corrupt, evil, and profit-driven. That said, I use a Mac. So whatever, I like 'em more (except for the whole gaming thing).

I am kind of indifferent... I own an Ipod but when I find myself in a situation where I want to listen to music, I usually have access to a computer with Spotify and therefore a bigger music library.

Apple makes computers for people who don't know the finer points of working a computer. And that's good. Do we really want to give people too much freedom to ignorantly slow down the more elite market of computer users?

It's like having a kid's table so that the nice silverware is less likely to wind up stuck in someone's nose.

I own a mac laptop and a PC desktop.

"i do not hate apple, but own an apple product"
"i do not hate apple and do not own an apple product"

Should be "I do not hate apple and own an apple product"
and "I do not hate apple, but do not own an apple product" respectively.

You mixed the "and" and the "but" there, sorry. Also sorry for being a bit of dick, but that annoyed me when looking at your poll options; and no, I'm not a perfect speller nor do I have perfect grammar. That is, however, quite an obvious error.

OT:
I own an Ipod, and have no reason to hate apple. I've spent roughly 8000 Danish Crowns(around 1500 USD) in iTunes.

I currently own an iPhone and an iMac and from my standpoint both are great products for what I use them for and as a result I generally like Apple as a company overall. However, the fan base makes me feel embarrassed to own their products sometimes.

Just this morning I was walking past my local apple store just before opening time and outside was a group of about 15 - 20 people practically surrounding the entrance waiting for it to open.

Nope. I have a macbook pro which i use for everything, even gaming now that steam has come to mac. Yes it has a high price tag but what most people don't realise is that apple products retain their value. All PC's decrease in value as soon as they are bought/made because there are so many different types. An apple is always an apple and as such holds its value far better. A quick look through eBay will show you this.

I don't hate them, but there are many things about the company that I dislike strongly. And I own an ipod

1: Their PCs (yes PCs, crack one open and I assure you there are the usual parts) are hideously overpriced, whenever I see one in a computer shop and think how much I can build one for the figure I usually come up with is at least half the price. Yes they come in a very fancy case but they are terrible price-wise.

2: The iTunes store is utterly, utterly crap, for one simple reason. Unlike steam where you can download your stuff over and over again, apple makes it look like you can't (yes look like). Once you have purchased your software it is assumed that you are responsible for backing it up. I suffered a hard drive failure at the hands of a Seagate Barracuda a year ago, and quickly found out that there was a tech support page where I could ask to re-download "all" of my purchases. So why the fuck do you not just give it to users as a standard option in Itunes? Furthermore I was told that there were certain albums that I could not re-download because they had been modified somehow, how have they been "modified" by apple when they are still available to buy in the Itunes store? I had to buy/pirate that music back, of course not through apple and thier money laundering (and yes kids I am perfectly entitled to pirate it because I paid for my copy legitimately in the first place).

Don't really have much of an opinion of the company itself, but I do love their products.

I've got a Macbook and an iPod, I love them both but I hate the douchey atmosphere of the Apple Store. They have all these trendy hipster kids flogging iPhones in the front, with neckbearded nerd blokes doing all the real techy shit in the back.
