"Hate" is such a strong word. I think the art is generally pretty static and dull, the plot tends to be over-the-top and ridiculous which conflicts horribly with the serious nature he tries to take, the dialogue is suffocating, the characters are bland and based on self-insertion and the parodies are generally unoriginal. I still read it, though. Not quite sure why, but I do. Maybe my inner critic is just working too hard.

I like it. Honestly, I'm not sure if the hate is for the comic, or Tim Buckley. I agree that Tim Buckley is an egotist, and he may be a jerk in real life as well. The problem is, hating the comic for the artist is like hating the original Guns N' Roses because Axl Rose was in it.

Note: Not saying Ctrl-Alt-Del is the GNR of webcomics, it's just the first band with an egotist at the head of it that came to mind.

Eh, I don't actively hate the man or the comics. I hear Buckley is a bit of a self-righteous asshole in real life, but that has never directly effected me so it doesn't concern me.

I have read the comic though. It's nothing rage-worthy, but it's just...not GOOD.

It's mediocre, I can see why some people like it, but I've never really liked it too much. I don't really hate it, if I hated everything I didn't see as "good", I'd be a very hateful man.

I've got to be honest. I've read CTRL-ALT-DEL since day one.. but the melodramatic script is getting a bit thin. I very much prefer either melodrama around gaming (Wintereenmas etc)or simply the tried and true "making fun of a new release" strips in which the 'usual' characters arn't even around.

.. this is not to say that I haven't enjoyed everything up until now.. but the comic seems to be moving more in the direction of Mary Worth (remember that one?) which isn't my cup of tea. There are few comics artists around that I can stand.. things like VG Cats or what have you just don't appeal to me. Tim's work is stellar and I really wish I had more to love. Please for the love of god go back to regular comics spoofing game worlds (the recent'ish Left 4 Dead editions were a good example).

I don't care, simply because the best webcomic has already been made. And no, it isn't the bland anti-humor that is Penny Arcade. I talk, of course, of Dr. McNinja.

I like it very much, but it's lost bits of it's old unserious chill vibe that I loved, that gave the humor of the lazy, hardcore gamer. But I like it, and I can't believe that anyone actually believes all the rumors about him being a pedophile.

What madness are you speaking? The best is of course the comic with no vowels, XKCD. :p Joking of course, I haven't read Dr. McNinja, but it's probably awesome since you speak so highly of it. :)

Oh, and to make a comparison in artistic progress:

Mike Krahulik, Penny Arcade.

Tim Buckley, Ctrl+Alt+Del.

At any rate, there are only really two webcomics I find worthwhile.

OT: I like all of it, I can say proudly
As much as it pains me to use the phrase, "This."

I don't understand why people hate it to be honest. Could someone enlighten me to the reason(s)?

Also B^Uckely is a talentless, unoriginal, predictable, talentless HACK, who can't tell a joke without spending 70 words explaining it. I hate Tim and i hate that fucking comic with a passion.

I'm pretty much into webcomics, I read a lot of them.

CAD had a time when it was damn funny, or I at least recall it as such. Mainly the time before Lilah showed up I guess.
The newer stuff is pretty much boring. Maybe because it focuses to much on the 'serious' relationship stuff and not jokes about gaming.

But hate? Why should I hate it? Just stop going to his site, when you dislike the comic and/or him that much. *shrugs*

Tim Buckley is a huge douche. And often the comics aren't funny.
So I don't like him.
This is why he's a giant douche.
