I don't hate it, but I certainly don't like it. The man has about as great a grasp of a drawing up comics as pre-2009 Mad Cats had a grasp of making video game accessories.

I don't read it much, but the few I've seen are alright. I don't see why there's so much hate for Tim Buckley, since most of the hate I've seen has been directed specifically at him rather than the webcomic. The webcomic is pretty good IMO. So can someone please explain to me why people seem to hate Tim himself so much?
I enjoy it. He has funny characters, sorry to some people who don't understand how to make things last. You can't have a realistic person who learns from shit. Every now and then Ethan does something special, but he's still the same lucky dope every knows him to be. Urkel knew what it took to become popular, but did he? Hank Hill learned to except Bobby for who he is HOW many times? Shawn and Eric from Boy Meets World had HOW many STDs? Bart is STILL at that school??? If every character from every show learned and evolved, well the show would change constantly, by having static means your more likely to keep the fanbase. There are some shows that break this, but these shows usually don't have very many seasons.
Also I've never seen any of his comics where he has to explain the joke. If you're a gamer you most likely get it, and we get less Penny Arcade words (I love that one too, but his news posts are more entertaining to me.
Also how did Buckley become arrogant? It's like people just spout random insults without any backup (Wait am I new to the internet???) Unoriginal? When did someone in any other comic get drunk and marry Microsoft Windows? Once again I fail to see. Then again, welcome to the world of bandwagons.

No, I don't particularly hate it. I can understand the shock/hate behind the miscarriage storyline, but the rest of the hate seems largely unjustified. So what if he's a huge douche in real life; the comic occasionally makes me laugh and im doubtful i'll meet him ever in real life.
Regardless, there are better webcomics out there. XKCD, Dr McNinja, Order of the Stick, Least I Could Do, Penny Arcade, Questionable Content and PvP all are good stuff.

i like the parodies, sort of penny arcade for the poor, but the main plot takes itself waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too seriously...

So much pointless drama. Can Lilah and Ethan be married and be done with it? Why drag it out to no end? Oh, right, then no one would care about them. I more hate the characters than him, he's just trying to make a buck like anyone else. He'll grow out of this forced drama thing eventually. Anyone else think Lilah is a manipulative *****?
