There's a handful of people I'll have a chat with every now and then, but I did meet one of my best friends on here.

I'm here most afternoons of the week, and I browse Gaming, Off-Topic, Religion & Politics, and RP forums.

I get sick of being around everyone, even my family and best friend, after only a few days. I just like being alone.

I don't really have friends on here, but I do recognize some familiar faces. I just pop on The Escapist and sometimes hit up the chat, but not often enough to consider myself a regular. Even though I've been here awhile.

While we're at it, I might as well introduce myself. Again.

I'm just a guy that likes browsing around the 'net, playing video games, eating food, and working at an office supply store. I'm generally quiet, boring, creepy, and extremely perverted, but I have my moments of hilarity, from my catastrophic failures resulting from explosions, occasional trolling, off-the-wall one-liners, or my ridiculously over-active imagination. I also make amazing chili and have awesome hair.

I recognize names and posting styles, I've been here for a fair bit.

I don't consider anyone here my "friend", but I definitely like some posters and know two personally. (Though I wouldn't call them "escapist friends")

I've PM'd back and forth and worth with a few people, but never really talked to them after that. Like the OP, yeah, the forums are a bit of a whirlwind of usernames.

About me: I'm in my first year of an English degree.

Somethings you love: Music, drums, films, literature. I love discussing all of these things, as well as the media and the state of the world in general.

Something you hate: bad parenting, most chart music, when religion is used to control and repress.

Something weird about you: Um, I was born three months premature.

How often you frequent the forums/which escapist forums you mostly use: I tend to got for musical topics cause I love discussing bands and stuff. I look at the forums everyday, but don't always post.

The frequency in which I visit the forums in the amount of time since I signed up has not really allowed me to make any lasting connections. I'll go on a relative binge of posts, then radio silence and by the time I come back, there will be a slew of new people... rinse and repeat.

That being said, I'm 100% willing to talk more to other users, I just need an occasion to.

No, not really. I recognize some people from the forum by their names and avatars, but I don't really know or talk to anyone outside the forum. I don't really frequent any of the user groups and I don't think I post that much so that's probably why.

I recognise a few of the more prolific posters, and I've had independent conversations with a couple of people, but I don't think I have any friends on here. I don't really have acquaintances.

Nope, not at all. There are plenty of names that I've grown to recognize and associate with avatars and whatnot, but I haven't made an effort to really make friends on this site.

I suppose I just don't want to be the person who has to take the first step.

Nope, forever alone. I recognise some avatars of the escapees that have annoyed me. I also recognise the avatars of escapist comedians.

I do have quite a few people that I would call friends on this site, like for example Action Girl ([user]Miles000[/user]). All of them are bronies. Even if I've kind of gotten tired of MLP at this point, I still visit the user group, to chat with the friends I've made there the last year.

To say something about me... I study visual communication at a university in Sweden.

I have a fair number of people here I've met that I'd consider good friends.
I mean, when I've known someone for several years, had numerous personal conversations, played games with them and shared many social experiences with, yes I would consider them very good friends. And they're all some of the best friends I've ever had or could ask for.

Some may not really consider me as much of a friend as I do, perhaps but regardless, I still have met countless people here who I not only care for as good friends but would happily (and in some cases am currently) go to visit IRL.

I even met my girlfriend of over a year now here. <3
The Escapist doubles as a matchmaking site. Who knew?

One of my best friends from college was the one who originally introduced me to this site. Sadly we don't speak much anymore, since we went to seperate unis.

I also have a few friends I met on this site, who I have since met in real life.
