I keep getting MySpace and Facebook mixed up and keep inviting people to come on My Face.

i too, will NEVER make an account on that. it makes you too easy to find by people you dont want finding you. aside from this, and a couple other forums, i never go anywhere else on the net, except youtube.Snuggle said:I seem to be the only one in my class who doesn't have Facebook (and I'll never, ever make an account!), so I was wondering how many here on The Escapist have Facebook?

Recognised and acknowledged. In fact, I consider my time on The Escapist to be mostly a waste of time as well, along with 95%-plus of anything that I do on my personal computers, simply because the bloody things haven't become worthwhile for productive tasks. I originally became interested in the computer as a tool, when I was a child as well. It's a real pity that nothing ever came of that interest, and the current model of social networking just shows how badly things went wrong for the internet, if not necessarily for the computer as a whole.Calapidgeon Superman said:Something that I know all too well dude. And I was being flippant before as alot of the people and conversations on here are far more valid than Facebook.RAKtheUndead said:Absolutely not - social networking is a particular bugbear for me, along with the iPhone and a certain number of internet phenomena and fads. Essentially, I hate it, finding it even more pointless than the rest of the mainstream internet (and the internet isn't exactly useful to begin with!).
I'd like the internet to be more useful as a tool rather than a waste of time - social networking and its kin don't help that at all. The internet was originally designed for scientists - let's make it so that we can use it for that purpose without having to go through a lot of pointless excess first, OK?
And yet you come on here...
I was close to not having one, but my douchebag friend made one for me >=(Snuggle said:I seem to be the only one in my class who doesn't have Facebook (and I'll never, ever make an account!), so I was wondering how many here on The Escapist have Facebook?
