Something that I know all too well dude. And I was being flippant before as alot of the people and conversations on here are far more valid than Facebook.

Recognised and acknowledged. In fact, I consider my time on The Escapist to be mostly a waste of time as well, along with 95%-plus of anything that I do on my personal computers, simply because the bloody things haven't become worthwhile for productive tasks. I originally became interested in the computer as a tool, when I was a child as well. It's a real pity that nothing ever came of that interest, and the current model of social networking just shows how badly things went wrong for the internet, if not necessarily for the computer as a whole.
