Yes, I use it very much, mostly cause I have friends that I hardly see and Facebook is a good way to keep in touch.

I've got one... cause my friends have stopped texting invitations to parties, they use facebook instead. + i wanted to see pictures from a vaccation i was on with my girl and some friends, and they told me i could see them on facebook and no-where else...

Absolutely not - social networking is a particular bugbear for me, along with the iPhone and a certain number of internet phenomena and fads. Essentially, I hate it, finding it even more pointless than the rest of the mainstream internet (and the internet isn't exactly useful to begin with!).

I'd like the internet to be more useful as a tool rather than a waste of time - social networking and its kin don't help that at all. The internet was originally designed for scientists - let's make it so that we can use it for that purpose without having to go through a lot of pointless excess first, OK?

Indeed, it was a very good social networking site for a long time, however with the recent onslaught of apps and addictive games that spam everything you look at, crossed with the updates that have periodically made it worse, it is slipping.

I do, its useful, my family in Austrailia and New Zealand can send me messages and photos and instead of wasting credit on somone I can leave a message on Facebook that they will read sooner rather than later.

Yes, I do. I actually use it a fair amount for its intended purpose--actually communicating with people. I've got far better things to do than all of those boneheaded quizzes and minigames. I only add people I know well and have met more than five times in real life. So I guess I'm a somewhat moderate user, but I'm really okay with that.

I do, but only because I made it years ago back before it became the new myspace. It's actually a pretty handy way of keeping in touch with people after high school/college, despite their constant attempts to ruin it.
