I think its because they are fragile. Like mobile phones they tend to fall often (specially in the hands of children) but unlike mobile phones they crack/brake easily.

Really? I've had mine for 6 years (since their original US release) and it's fallen many a time. Not broken yet. Although I did lose it in Germany. >.>

Iv got a Broken DS Lite and a DSi.

I plan on getting a DS Phat for my GBA games and trading in my DSi for a DSi XL.

And of course the 3DS comes out i will be getting that as well.

Id better start saving up now...

I have one. The "one who spawned my father" bought it for me as a graduation present. Pokemon Platinum and Cooking Mama are the games I play the most on it. Yeah, I know. Cooking Mama. It makes me feel like I can actually cook.

I bought the original one on its European release back in 2005 and I never considered getting any of the newer versions. They're just a waste of money if you already own a previous model.

I have 2 - a regular silver DS and a black DS Lite.... I'm thinking of trading in teh DS against a DSi though - I have a ?30 shopping centure voucher to sepnd and that centre has a GAME store - W.O.O.T!!
