Yes, I have 3 games installed on my hard drive

1. The orange box ( crashes sometimes so installing it fixes the problem )

2. Oblivion ( It used to be fallout but im obsessed with this game )

3. Banjo kazooie nuts & bolts ( this is gonna be the first one to go )

I only installed them to get rid of the disk noise so I could play in the nighttime without my parents knowing

Yes, always.

Why? Because the console sounds like a broken leafblower when I play a game from the disc.

Seems to be a balance of those with no space and those who hate angry hairdryers on steroids!

I install new titles and delete them when done. Maybe I'm just imagining things but it feels safer that way, last thing I want is a RRoD. Also, loads a bit faster, for what it's worth.

I would with Fallout 3 (I don't want it to crash as much), but when it gets to 30% it goes "no dice". One day I will load them on, but only new games, like Mass Effect will be a certain.

I install whatever I am playing and delete what I am not. Doesn't take very long and it makes me feel more at peace since I lost a 360 to a disc drive problem as well.

Yes. Any games that I'm currently playing go on the hard drive. Makes the system much quieter and makes load times that much shorter.

I'm amazed some of the replies.

I install EVERYTHING to the HDD

-vacuum-like horrendous noise + slow loading

vs

-whisper quiet + fast loading...

let me think...

I can kind of understand for the 20GB HDD owners, but even so i'd still make sure the current game i was playing was installed to the HDD, it's like the difference between night and day...

I actually went out and brought a retail 120GB HDD when the save-to-hdd feature was released, it was worth every incredibly overpriced GB in my opinion :)

Though if the (enormous!) DVD drive noise doesn't bother you, there's not much difference, so i understand if the volume doesn't annoy you :)

Agreed, some of the responses here seem silly. "I have plenty of space but I don't install, cuz I don't want to waste the space in case I need it." Um, you can always delete the install, and if you're "saving the space" until you need it, then guess what - you're really just wasting it by not using it. Way to go champ, a winner is you.

Unless you really don't have the extra space for the install (totally understandable), then it seems stupid not to.

I'm still running 2 years after getting my 360 on the original 12GB harddrive. Handfull of games, handfull of videos, one or two demos and arcade games and it's running on empty.

I'm gonna have to get a new hard-drive soon just to have more space in general though so I probably start doing it when I get a bigger newer one.

I heard that the disc is still needed, so I was always confused on the point of installing to the hard-drive.

I do it just to speed up the load times, though I'm pretty sure it doesn't even really do that. But I installed Red Faction and it's quite quiet now and fast.

None because I have a cheap peice of crap 20GB harddrive. I hate microsoft for releasing the elite 360 3 weeks after I bought my 360.

I've only ever installed The last remnant and Star Ocean 4 because it not only reduces the loading time, but I don't have to fucking get up to change the discs around....especially in star ocean grrrr
