I personally feel the whole thing about H1N1 was blown out of proportion. Anyway do YOU actually know anyone with it? I'm willing to bet the percentage wouldn't get into the double digits if people were honest.

No, quite simply.

The unfortunate few to have died from H1N1 in Britain so far all have had underlying medical conditions, so I see no reason to fear it at all, and I don't think it will become the pandemic the government fears any time soon.

My old guitarist and close friend recently got it. It was absolutely nothing, he spent two days off school, got over it and went straight back.

No I don't know anyone who has/had it. Although when I was in Singapore recently, they had caution posters everywhere and some people were also wearing face-masks.

It's not the numbers that have been blown out of proportion, it's the severity of the disease, it's no worse that the normal flu

No, not at all.
It was all a big scare, just like last time.

So if something big really hits, no one will believe it.
So much for crying wolf...

Many kids in my school recently got it, along with the regular flu, but who among my friends had H1N1 rather than the regular flu is unknown to me. I'm currently sick as well, but I don't think it's the flu, and if it is it's a very minor one.

Someone was on the city bus next to me this morning with a mask over their nose and mouth. Not sure if they were just being cautious or actually had it but it's the first I've seen...

No, I don't know anyone with it.
We'd better be careful though, it might end up the end of the world just like SA-
OH WAIT.

Nope, but there's been one or two cases here in the area.

It's overrated anyway... Or so I've heard.

a close friend of mine had it. He is fine now. He is also a college student. He was just out for a a week or so. Nothing major.

Well, my college sent a note to parents saying that H1N1 had been diagnosed on students, and some kids have been missing a loooong time from school. I even heard a girl is hospitalized with a lung infection. Then again, heard, not seen, but the fact that the school is wanting the lepers to stay away for a week makes me think that yes, it could very well be true.

And I've been feeling pretty sickly lately. Oh well, week off for me! :D

Wouldn't a virus that sets us on fire be downright awesome?

Oh, and for what I've hear, H1N1 is much less virulent than bird flu. It's simply MUCH more contagious. Aside of that, it could easily be mistaken for normal flu. So yeah, blown out.

Yeah, my friend Danny. Hell, he has it right now and was home sick from school today.
