I've read a number of his stories. The Dunwich Horror is easily my favorite, although The Call of Cthulhu is probably the most important one.
I have the Necronomicon too!FargoDog said:Yup, I have the massive book full of all his short stories and most of his more well-known longer works. It's black, leather bound and called the Necronomicon.
And it is awesome.
EDIT:It happens to be this very book, now that I read the rest of the thread.EMFCRACKSHOT said:http://www.waterstones.com/waterstonesweb/products/h-+p-+lovecraft/necronomicon3a+necronomicon/5925741/Cpt_Oblivious said:Never read any of his work, because I can't find any. I've heard of him and wish to read.
The only time I've come across anything he wrote it was £30 so I went to the ATM and it had been sold by the time I go back.
The best of Lovecraft, and only £14
The story is called, ironically, "Under the Pyramids", in case your question has not been answered yet.EMFCRACKSHOT said:I preferred colour out of space myself. My favourite one though, I can't remember its name. Its the one with the escape artist underneath the pyramids.
There are a lot of stories which allude to Cthulhu, but, to my recollection, "Call of Cthulhu" is the only on which deals explicitly with that particular Elder God.Bob the Average said:Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn. so yes you could say I'm a fan although i was disappointed that call of Cthulhu is the only story i can find that involves cthulhu are there any others?
No, no, no, it's pronounced KHLU-HLOO! Lovecraft left entire pronunciation guides for his constructed R'lyehian language, you'd think people could abide by them.GrinningManiac said:"Cuthooloo!" (Cthulu)
XD Beat me to it, still awesome. I have it as a Tshirt.GhostKnifeFish said:![]()
