I don't believe in IQ tests. They only show how smart you are depending on certain subjects.
Did you know Albert Einstein couldn't even remember the way back to his house? He was a genius yes, but he wasn't smart in everything.
Some kids can't learn in school settings but are genius' on the street. "Street Smart" is what they are called.

I.Q tests are inaccurate and thus should not be used as a basis on how smart someone is.

i got an iq test in my "core evaluation" in high school, which is the fancy PC way of saying retard test. anyways the result came back and it said 157 i was laughing for the rest of the day, highest iq in the school and a straight d average

I don't remember what I got on it back in the day, but I do know that the original test was something developed by the french to see what children needed to be placed into remedial environments by dividing their real age by the "mental age" that they scored as (hence the "quotient" part of Intelligence Quotient). I bet you are all now talking about the Welschler Adult Intelligence Scale.

Who needs a number anyway? "Yeah, I'm smart I guess" or "Nah, I'm not that bright" work just fine. That, and those tests don't measure common sense in real-world scenarios involving human interaction, which I think is a pretty big chunk of what being viewed as 'smart' is.

So no, I don't know what my score is.

All of that stuff about Albert Einstein failing in school or not being a total fucking badass super genius is bogus. Of course he could remember the way back to his house; where do you think he slept after making insane discoveries that still aren't very well understood?

My usual score have been around 130-145(once I got 170) on untrusted internet IQ-tests. On one more trusted I got 127 IQ.
Once I did a serious non-internet intelligence test that took about one hour with scores in the ranges of 1-9. I scored a 8 and those who score from 8-9 is considered smarter then at least 95% of the population and if you recalculate to IQ then it means that my actual IQ is somewhere above 125.
EDIT: Just did a sample test on the Swedish Mensa site and got 126 so this indicates my real IQ should be around 125-130.

Many people are quick to dismiss the utility of contemporary intelligence testing. However, such people are often unaware of the rigorous research and development involved in creating these tests (again, I'm speaking about established measures, none of which can be taken online). As someone trained in the administration and interpretation of these tests (I've given about 15 administrations to adults and children), I can say that some very bright people have put a lot of thought into these things, and I would suggest that anyone looking to be informed do some non-Wiki reading on the matter. Moreover, test developers' claims are often more humble than you might imagine; an IQ is not the be-all-end-all of your "intelligence." Rather, the number simply reflects an average of a set of variously developed cognitive abilities.

Also, although some cognitive abilities do decline with age, your IQ "should" remain steady because your score is based on a comparison to how other people in your age range have performed. If your score is going down markedly over time (some fluctuation is expected; I'm talking about a decline of more than 15 points)it means that your cognitive abilities are declining at an accelerated rate. See somebody about that!

Anyhoo, i wouldn't take a online test as your base or reference, all I know is I took an entrance exam, did better that everyone (yes everyone) on the math portion, but then was 56 percentile on english XD... im a giant stereotype arent i....

There are dozens of different tests measuring IQ. Someone mentioned he had 170, which is an impossible score on the test I've taken. The scales differ a lot, so write what test were you taking or just type "pretty high" or "avarage".

This kind of covers my thoughts on the subject. Especially since on one IQ test I scored a 207 while on another I scored 134. I guess that kind of proves that they aren't all equal.

I got an 89 two years ago. Don't actually remember which test I did, it was administered by the school's psychologist back when I was still in high school, the average is apparently something like 100 - 110 according to him.

EDIT: I should probably also meantion that I was told it could have something to do with the fact that i'm left handed and therefore use the left side of my brain more prominently, so the test would come out differently and my end result incorrect. So thats another factor, that or he was just trying to make me feel better
