Now what is that? Is it really just cooked blood??
Ok, I'd class myself as something of an expert at black pudding and it's basically oatmeal, suet, onions and blood(usually from cows).

I live a few miles away from Stornoway, which may as well be the home of black pudding. Charles Macleod butchers make a really good one.

It's possibly the greatest food in the world.

It can be used for things other than fry-ups too. It's delicious with carmelised red onion and grilled goats cheese, and it makes a great stuffing for chicken too.

Yeugh, forgive me for my ignorance but that sounds kinda rancid. Eventhough thats very hypocritical since I already eat their meat but still..

There are a lot of delightful things in the British Isles. Sadly, none of them are food. I'll stick with American chow, thanks.

I remember I was being forced to eat it when I was little untill I was crying at the table. No "black pudding" for me, thank you.

Isn't black pudding made from the intestines of pigs?
It used to be stored in intestines, like the covering on a sausage, but nowadays it's stored in a plastic covering, which you take off before eating.

You can't beat a good Black Pudding supper and a glass bottle of Irn-Bru from the chippy. Good times indeed.
I think I've just found a kindred spirit.

That first one sounds delicious. Do you have a recipe, or is it basically just a matter of frying some onions, grilling black pudding and goats cheese, and putting the onions on top? What do you eat it with?
It really is as simple as it sounds, just carmelise the red onions with some brown sugar, and the rest is simple. Usually I'll just have it as I said it, but I guess you could serve it with various vegetables and things. Whatever works for you really.

Also, if you don't mind simple, black pudding and Heinz baked beans is a delicious.

You should open your mind(mouth?) a bit, you might be surprised.

Black Puddings from D&D? Never really put Oozes in my campaigns so no, I don't really like Black Puddings.
As for that food described above? Never had it, probably never will.

Ugh. I hate that stuff.

Strangely, though, I do have a liking for Finnish salt candy.

does Blutwurst count?

black pudding seems to have a bit more blood and less sausage in it. i've never tried real black pudding, but Blutwurst is tasty =)

edit: also, you seem to put oats in it... im curius how it tastes
