I don't particularly rate him, I think he goes on for too long without actually saying anything. I agree with his overarching points but they are poorly made and the shows doesn't seem very well produced.

I think his style seems to suit written work better. I shall continue watching, but at the moment I don't think it's great.

My question is... if you can't stand him... WHY OH WHY OH WHY do you concern yourself with it? Don't like it? CLOSE THE WINDOW! then proceed to say to yourself, "Wow, I didn't enjoy that. Meh who cares, let's go watch something I DO enjoy instead and never think about it again."
I agree with this.

Considering the Escapist community prides itself on it's supposed intelligence and maturity, it is rather bizarre to see how many people get worked up over shows/articles that not only are completely free, but are also completely optional to even watch in the first place.

Uhh... you do realize that people, generally, are against something because they don't like it? If they liked it, they wouldn't be against it.
Redundancy aside, people are allowed, and indeed should, express their opinions about things. Otherwise, it's impossible to actually gauge any reactions and sooner or later everything has turned into shit.
You are missing the point. There is a difference between not liking something and being against something.

I do not like some foods, that doesn't mean that I think these foods should not exist.
I am against racism/sexism and so on, I do not think these things should exist.

I ran a search, and didn't see a similar thread. And to answer your question (which could have been less confrontational);

I want to see if the majority of us feel the same way.
His question wasn't directly aimed at you, but the people in general who complain about the show.

Yes Jim, you're bad because you're saying things that have already been said, in a format like other shows here, the main problem being that yours is considerably worse in presentation and structure, less informative, not as funny (even not as funny as extra credits), and poorly constructured arguments that are neither functioning critiques nor biting satire. .
Extra credits funny? I must of missed that episode.
I find extra credits entertaining and intresting with his theories and solutions and the same goes for Jim.

TL;DR? His show is awful because it is a poor imitation of what we already have, done worse, with ten times the hubris and swearing..
I dont know of any other show like his, ZP is about video games and tends to be about small things that dont make sense, jim is more about the industry.

He is not like extra credit either because of his radical ideas.

His lattest one wasn't funny at all and his responce was to take swipes at people on Twitter.

More or less what I'd expect given how he has acted in the past.

He seems to be fixated with 'ironic' nudity and being degrading to women ? if you notice, his screenshots are always of women, lesbians or breasts ? but I hardly see these videos as a way to win someone over.
Dont know about that, he did include lots of men as well.

Neither is the horrible clothing that seems to be straight out of 'The Spirit' and what kind of person wears aviators inside? Actually
yahtzee wears a hat indoors.

So far on twitter he has loads of girls retweeting that his show is in no way sexist.

If by 'radical' you mean unworkable, nonsensical, and perhaps barely qualifying as an idea at all, then sure. This is what I mean about it being too close to the format of other shows, like a mix between ZP, extra punctuation, extra credits, and the big picture...it just doesn't add anything new.

He doesn't seem to comment nearly as much on the industry as Yahtzee does, who regularly criticizes motion controllers, 3D, generic shooters etc. etc.

I find extra credits far funnier than this, I know they aren't even trying to be really, and that works in their favour because it's sutble. If they don't get the laugh it doesn't doom the whole video, which unfortunately is completely the case for Jim.

I couldn't stand to watch enough to form an opinion due to the absolutely terrible production values of the audio and video.

As of now, of the people that claim it's at least watchable (and up) are out numbered by more than 2:1. I am amazed that so many people claim to find it at least watchable when virtually no positive comments can be found on a casual browse through of his comment threads to his videos.

To be honest i couldnt really be arsed watching it mainly because it seemed to be another review show like so many on the escapist and im pretty sorted with ZP, Escape to the movies and Extra Credits (even if it does seem a little preechy every now and then).

but then all these hate/discussion threads started popping up and i thought 'meh ill see what the fuss is about' and to be honest i liked it, couldnt stop myself laughing at some things (notably the penis wolf :D)

I don't see what the buzz is all about. It was the same way with Apocalypse lane, unskippable and dorelius. That is, people hated it. Still, I think it's stupid to rant on each and every episode, most of the people on this website seem so hostile about it that it's kind of alarming.

if the rest of his stuff on destructoid is anything like these two eps, I'm pretty sure I won't enjoy ANY of his work then. The escapist doesn't need a troll commentator.

And I fail to see what's wrong with people airing their opinions about the contents of this website. It is the ONLY way for the site to get feedback. It's not like we have the ability to vote with our wallets here, guys. The feedback threads? This could be it. This could be all the feedback the people in charge of the escapists are ever going to get on their show. (except maybe checking traffic to his vids)

Me, I think the escapist is awesome, and would not want to see the quality of the content here be brought down by fucking dickwolves. As such, I am fully happy to say that I think the Jimquisition show needs to go.

I sure wish the one person that checked "love it" would have spoken up. I'd have liked to hear why.
yeh i know how you feel, when ever u make a thread people say 'YES' to a question but there's rarely a justification of the answer.

But Its alright ill watch the show its interesting for me to watch but i wouldn't replay the video like 'Miracle of Sound' or 'Zero Punctuation'

I didn't like it.

The humor is just not my type,
I find Jim incredibly annoying,
His suit reminds me of the "The Spirit" which to me is reason enough to not like it,
The stuff He says about the escapist users on twitter is frustrating.

Well the first episode seemed to drag on a bit. Im going to leave it at that.

The second one however really made me believe that its some sort of cross between The Big Picture and Zero Punctuation.

That is, Jim takes the piss out of things that he has an opinion on.
The show is a combination of two things that are similiar, but not made better, but worse when put together. Also he does seem to pretty one-sided on these things.

I know what your thinking, and yes both Zero Punctuation and The Big Picture can be one-sided, on certain subjects, but eachh of them is one-sided in their own way. Zero Punctuation is meant to be a review one videogames, but it is humorous to watch him point out all the flaws to the game. The Big Picture is more informative, than one-sided, yet he does give his opinion on the subject though.

The Jimquistion show is not informative, but more like a rant on certain subjects, and if you don't agree with him then you can go F&@% yourself. I don't like shows that pretty much tell you: "I'm always right and everything you know is wrong."
