Unemployment sucks, so that would be a no from me, then?

Hopefully that'll change soon, seeing as I'll be throwing my CV at various shops and screeching asking them why they don't love employ me.

What is especially sucky is that I had hoped to have a job by this time, seeing as University will be starting up again soon and I really can't afford/want another year of leeching off my parents.

Started in a massive toy shop this week. The people I work with are fucking brilliant, the pay isn't bad. Unfortunately the hours are long and I have to deal with snotty kids and their smothering parents. By next week I should have left for something better-paid lol.

I'm also writing a script for a Machinima series which I'll be getting paid for eventually. It's not a "proper" job but I had to apply, I'll be getting paid and I'm working hard on it so...yeah it's a kind of job. And it's fucking awesome: doing something I love in order to get paid (albeit, very little) is great.

Teacher.

Dont like my job. Mostly because its a job. But also because I have to deal with a whole lot of stupid typing of reports and even stupider parents.

That said I think I'd be unhappy no matter what job I worked. I dont want to work. I have oceans of envy for those who go to work happy.

Being on a pension is fucking awesome. Hours are less than unemployment (no shitty forms to fill in all the time), pay is better, and people don't treat you like shit for not having a job as soon as they find out you're on a pension (or maybe that's because I tell them the truth - I'm on a psych pension)...

Well, unless you're a single parent pensioner... no system is perfect.

Master Control at a television station. I love it. It's kinda boring unless something's going wrong, but I love it all the same.

Besides my school, I work as security at a medical factory part-time durring the evening a day or two a week.
Apart from patrolling the factory for about 2 hours durring a 7-8 hour shift, i don't have much to do, unless shit happens, and it rarely does, very rarely.
so i spend the majority of my working hours watching tv, surfing the internet or getting paid for doing my homework, which i actually enjoy, plus the pay is good.
So yeah, i like my job a lot.

I work with the mentally disabled. It's a great job, those guys continually surprise me with their capabilities.

I finish work most days feeling like I've helped someone, so as naive/corny as it sounds I find that it's a rewarding career. Just a pity the money isn't a little bit better.

O/N stocker and backroom guy. Stupid me always takes on extra shit for no extra pay because unlike most people I know I actually have a good work ethic, while I may not take pride in it I at least try to get my shit done. By the way, I work at a horrible place called Wal-Mart

Only plus is that it got me closer to my girlfriend

I work as a Pre-Delivery Inspection Tech for an Auto Dealership chain.

Every new car or trade in vehicle that comes through our dealerships is sent to the shop I work in, and five other people plus myself inspect/repair each and every car. Pay's more than decent, and the people I work with are a trip.

Best job EVAH!

I'm a dishwasher so no. I clean the same damn things over and over and OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER!!!!!!!!! Mostly because it's a small family owned restaurant in which we don't have enough plates or some other such of flatware or utensil. I'm always the last one done since I have to clean up after everyone else too. But, it's a job so I need it and refuse to complain any further about it. Thank God for Beer and the Internet!

Bar work, and some Voluntary Martial arts coaching while i'm applying for the Parachute Infantry.
I didn't really think i'd enjoy working behind a bar but i really love it there;
My bosses are really easy going, the female manager is really easy to get along with and quite crazy with some of the things she comes out with. And seeing as though i'm the only male doign Bar work, they get me doing all the heavy lifting and that, which i really enjoy; anything to be on the move.

I'm part time there at the moment, but i'm hoping to make it more of a full time thing, the martial arts thing is ok (considering i balance it with my fight training and technique), The people i train with are heavily committed and very modest which i like (no ego's). I wouldnt say i work for 'masters though'; they don't demonstrate themselves as Veteran's of the martial arts and i don't hold much respect for them.

other than that, if i lived closer to the bar, it'd be quite an awesome set up.

I want more options than Yes and No, but for the most part, I think it's ok.
I work part time as a sales assistant for Sports Direct, one of the most pikey branches in the UK.
I get paid peanuts (£4.40 an hour), but I'm a pretty valued member of the group and I like the people I work with.
But my manager pulls some ridiculous shit and I'm in the process of looking for another job because of it.

This morning, for example, I got a text from someone who USED to work there saying that my shift had been cut half an hour before I was supposed to start, because this ***** wanders into store and decides that she doesn't need me in today. Instead of getting a call from her, the assistant manager, or one of my supervisors, they call my friend (who now works full time as a supervisor a different store) and ask him to text me, because they can't be fucked to search the database for the three different contact numbers I have down.

What. The. SHIT.
