Yes often when I want to relax or just to let me think about serious things. I also listen to soundtracks (videogame and some movie and anime) which, though technically their own genre, I believe are just the classical genre continued.
Classical music is pretty amazing. . . I mean come on, what other genre of music have lasted so long and stayed so strong!

P.S. I some times listen while I game too, its better than any other genre for that IMHO, Opera arias are good for that as well!

I listen to a bit more modern music, like Williams and Hisashi.

When I'm in the mood, yes. I have no favourite composers or anything though, but I'm quite fond of strings and percussion, especially the violin. Examples of both that are well-known to you all:
Okay the second isn't really classical, but bloody hell I love those heavy boom boom booms. It's why I'm such a fan of taiko and the Battlestar Galactica soundtrack.

Which reminds me, here's some classical music from the other side of the world (well, from my side anyway):
I prefer it over Western classical, honestly. I love the power of it. There was a live taiko band on the MCM Expo a few weeks ago, those deep drums vibrating through your entire body, man that feels good.

Nah, I just find it boring. I'm not saying it's bad or anything, but I just find it to be soulless, lacking in any emotion or narrative.
That...surprises me. Some classical pieces are amongst the most emotional laden pieces I've ever heard. It can be bombastic and epic [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AlEvy0fJto&feature=related], so sad, almost fragile [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAuQb_bKI0Q] or haunting, spelling doom [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXX5x2iAKe4&feature=related] . I mean, don't tell me that Chopin's Funeral March doesn't convey a certain burdened, grave feeling.
Well the only classical music I listen to is what my parents play, so they could simply be listening to the boring stuff. I listen to metal, which in some cases has a lot of classical and orchestral elements, so I certainly haven't ruled out classical music as an enjoyable genre.

Absolutely. I was just at my college radio station's vinyl/CD sale yesterday, where I bought an E. Power Biggs record, "Greatest Hits of 1720", "Top 15 of 1750", and "Scheherazade" all on vinyl. I can't wait to listen to them when I get home on Thanksgiving.

Here's something that I regularly listen to.

I know it's technically romantic and not classical, but you get the idea.

oh, a jab at hip-hop! are you trying to start something? not that i'm defending hip-hop though, it has the same basic flaw that it shares with classical music and pop music. repetitiveness. that's not to say all classical music is repetitive (much like those other genres i mentioned), some are breathtakingly unique and beautiful (mozart's requiem comes to mind and almost any latin chorus), but mostly i only listen to classical music in short bursts.
