I set my computer to play random songs from my library while i play games, so sometimes i'll be playing Left 4 Dead, and Suberban Museum or I Do I Do I Do will start to play, or i'll play pokemon and Nightwish will start to play. its kinda fun that way, i think.

It's a strangely delicious moment when I'm playing one JRPG (Persona 3) and listening to the orchestral remixes of the soundtrack of another JRPG (Final Fantasy VII).

I listen to music like Queen in cut-scene heavy games like Final Fantasy, and turn off all the voices in game so it's like an entire game based off of a Queen soundtrack. So much better, and nonsensical.

there are actually a number of ways to play music on our console or through it while gaming, and i think its been that way since maybe the ps2? if not the most recent gen of consoles.

but i listen to whatever im feeling at the moment, if not the actual words/stuff to the game.

Usually if I listen to much while playing a game it tends to fit with the game. Playing Soldier of Fortune 1 and 2 and listening to Slayer fits well.

I only do it in Just Cause 2 for now. For some reason, I just don't like the in-game music. All my other games I play as is, in-game music and all.

Well, I used to listen to Breaking Benjamin while playing through the first Mass Effect multiple times, but I'm not sure if it's inappropriate, because it actually synced up well.

I did get my highest score on Geometry Wars while listening to "How To Save A Live" by The Fray, which honestly felt like the weirdest song to play at the time.
