Yes always, no exceptions (well sometimes a happen to forget). Its a good habit to have i think. You never know what could happen, mabey you missed that someone was home or someone comes home while you're there.

If people not my family are there, yeah. If it's just me and/or family, then I leave it be. People who live at my house can generally tell if the bathroom is occupied or not.

If I locked the door how could the cat or the dog get in? Plus an open door leads to all sorts of comedy. "I always suspected you wanted to watch me take a crap" and other such lines.

I lock it, never know if someone actually is home and you just thought you were alone, also habit I guess.

I hate locking the door.

I dread the possibility of becoming unconscious and nobody being able to bust the door down.

Always, no matter what, I lock it.
Several reasons for that. Grew up on a home with too many people who seems to not always know the meaning of a closed bathroom door or knocking before entering; Afraid to be caught on a rather embarassing moment even though everyone does it.
Also, this:

And of, fear of murderers attacking me at awkward times. Even murderer teleportation doesn't help them against a locked door in front of me.

EDIT: Oh, thought you meant home alone, not just home.
I know that feeling, bro.

We leave the bathroom doors open if no one is in there. If the door is closed, it's occupied. So no, I don't lock the door.

Yes, I lock it. My preference is for people not walking in on my while I'm doing my business, and I'd rather not leave it to chance.

Nah. Sometimes I don't even bother closing the door, mostly because I'm pretty much the only one who uses my bathroom.

Would that I effing well could. No one in my family has any sense of privacy or decency, and our one- count it, one, 1, singular, not at all in the plural, more than zero and less than two- one bathroom has no lock. This means that if I want to go to the bathroom in peace or take a nice long bath to relax after a bad day, I have to contend with my entire family parading through the room in search of forgotten reading material, specific items of clothing from the communal hamper that they absolutely must have washed right this very minute, or, and I kid you not here, actually using the toilet while I am right fucking there, trying to take a bath. Not a big deal to some, I suppose, but for me it's a living hell.

Lock it? I don't even shut it, unless I have diarrhea. For a pee, nah. Used to at least shut it when I lived at my parent's home, but my gf and I are pretty chill about going to the bathroom in front of each other.

Actually, I should mention that for the last few years at my parent's home I had the basement bedroom with an attached bathroom, and it did not have a door. But, I did shut the bedroom door.

I always lock it, even if no one is home. We, and when I say we I mean my parents, often tend to leave the lights on in the bathrooms on occasion. My parent's sometimes leave the door crack which leads me to believe that they are not in there. It's very irritating having them walk in on me, or me walking in on them, so I always lock the door. I just hate it when my step-mom leaves the door cracked while she's dropping a deuce and I almost open the door before she shouts about how she's in there. If they would just stop leaving the lights on after finishing, then we wouldn't have these problems. Or if they just locked the doors, then there would be no issue at all -_-. This makes me think of cliche anime situations. They could be avoided so easily if people simply locked their doors.

Well, mine has no lock. But it's not needed. When the door to my room is closed, my roommates know to knock first.

funny story. it's just me an my husband and we don't often have people over as it's a tiny house but we actauly had to take off the door to our bathroom due to it becoming the nest of a bunch of carptner ants. We removed the door, burned it and then sprayed the rest of the bathroom and never had a problem with it. however our old tiny house has an odd size for the door frames so we coudln't just buy a new door to fit in the frame and it was too much to pay someone to resize it or whatever they would have to do so we just hung a curtian in the door.

So No Lock, tecnically no door. but didn't lock it when we had a door.
