I don't have a lock, but the light's usually on when people are in there so you can tell if it's occupied.
And when I'm not sure I just knock.

I do. I hate being disturbed while pooping. I lock the door in hopes that people will see that it is locked and go somewhere else if they have to use the bathroom. Unfortunately, my brothers are idiots. They will walk up to the door, see that the lights and fan are on and the door is locked, and still try to open it. They will then knock on the door and ask if anyone is using the bathroom, and refuse to leave until I tell them that yes, I am in fact pooping.

I live alone, so I don't really bother. Just as long as my front door is locked.
Just seems tedious and the lock sometimes jams and it's a bit of a bother to open the door again. Gotta keep the door closed a bit so I can't see outside or I lose focus.

My mother, on the other hand, likes to take shits with the door wide open regardless of whose standing right outside.

Yes sometimes even if the door doesn't have a lock. I will barricade the door however possible For example in small bathrooms that open inward I put my foot against the door.

I do not like walking in on people, and I certainly do not like people walking in on me.

I always lock the door. It makes people attempting to open it (Without knowledge of someone being in there) a whole lot less awkward.

Yes I always lock my door because none of my housemates or my family bother to check that the bathroom is occupied before they try and storm in. I know this because of the number of times they have tried to open the door when I have locked it. It is just better all round if I lock the door.

Yeah, it's a habit. Saves me the breath of telling someone I'm in there.

Oh yeah. Because 4 out of 10 times I'm doing something that me and my parents pretend I don't do.

I hate locking the door.

I dread the possibility of becoming unconscious and nobody being able to bust the door down.
pretty much this actually, I'd hate to die in a bathroom... especially one that has carpet in it.... but either way, unless I'm either, having people over, or pooping, I never even close the door lol XD

Always, I can't go if its not locked, I get bashful bladder (I can't remember the scientific term for it), but I always lock the door even if I'm on my own because I suppose it gives me a sense of security. Although if I can hear people talking, it doesn't matter if I had a brick wall between us, I just can't go.

I lock it for when I'm bathing. Otherwise no, they know when someone is in there by the crack under the door and we have one in the basement to use if the better one is occupied.
