I always pick up money. It's free money. Also the largest amount of money I found was a Twenty dollar bill. That was a great school day.

if its a quarter or dollar, i usually give it to someone to use since i dont need it. lots of people at school wanna buy a soda or something :p

and if by some miracle, its 5 dollars or higher, im keepin that sucka

10p minimum. I hate change, but above 10p is actually useful, so therefore I will take it.

I respond to accusations of being poor and homeless with a cheery "hell yes".

I'll pick up even pennies off the ground. Whoever's dropped the change most likely never even realizes they dropped it, and they'll be most likely be long gone before they do (if they do) thus there's pretty much no chance of them coming back to claim it.

Yes, I'm cheap. The job I'm going to college for isn't known for being excessively lucrative, and these days I almost never go to restaurants, bars, movie theatres, or any place where you're expected to go out to with friends and spend a good chunk of money.

25 cents min. Though I pick up all change in my house cause it makes the place looks disorganized/dirty.

No appropriate response in poll, so in words: No, because it's not mine. I like to be a good and honest person when possible. Even though money on the ground is probably not going to find its way back to the owner who lost it, I still think that eliminating that very possibility by taking it is indirect possible theft. It's not a matter of pride, but of honesty.

Quarters, when I find them. Breakfast and a chocolate mild were .75c each so I always picked them up in high school.
Most money I ever found was 15$ at Canada's wonderland.... which I blew on games which I didn't win so..... least I didn't really lose anything.

I live in the shitty bit of Scotland so if you find money on the ground it's more like race to see who can get it first but not pennies, pennies are for the street cleaning machines... maybe that's why I don't see them much anymore, all those pennies would have done them a mischief

Ill pick up most money I see, depends on my mood at the time (bill always). The most Ive ever found was $50 when I was 10. A friend found $12,000 in a duffle bag when he was 16, did the right thing and called the police...money was counterfit :(

I'm not going to pick up anything thats grimy and nasty, or that is less than a quarter. Other then that, its fair game. I dont think it makes you look "cheap". It's free money!

Anything over a $5 bill, I'll do what I can to find the owner. I'd feel bad taking a relatively large bill off the ground. Change, on the other hand? That stuff's mine. We have a saying where I'm from: "Find a penny, right side up/all day long you'll have good luck." I've never heard anyone called cheap for picking up a penny, just told it's a sign of good luck. Traditional superstition also holds that a penny that's tails up is bad luck, but as far as I'm concerned, finding a penny is good enough luck on it's own :p

as long as it's silver I pick it up, as it adds up quicker than pennies, and I found a 50 just outside our schools perimeter in the third grade. I was the man for that entire week, it was sweet. :)

If something is worth having, it's worth bending over to pick up. I'd take anything if I saw it, I imagine.

I find seeing pennies annoying on the ground, so I pick them up. It's not about greed or being cheap. It seems silly for money to be left on the ground.

It depends on my mood. Generally not coppers (1p and 2p coins), the smaller silvers (5p and 10p coins) are a hit or a miss, and I'll generally pick up anything higher than that (20p, 50p, £1, £2 coins and any notes). Oh, and obviously, if I found the money in a wallet or something that had identification in it, I'd either hand it in to the authorities or track down the owner and return it. Unmarked currency on the streets though? Finder's keepers.

The most I've ever found in one go was a £20 note, though it was years ago and I can't remember details such as what I spent it on or anything, but I do remember it was a windy day and it was pinned to a hedge by the wind as I walked past.

I also remember one time when, for some reason, I was about 10p short for my bus ticket home, and managed to make up the money solely in coppers I found on the ground on my walk to the bus station. That was a fortunate occurence.
