Nope. I used to do it with every game I considered a few years ago, but these days I check out gameplay/reviews on the computer and then decide if I should get it or not.

Unless i want to see if the game will run on my computer, or if i have utterly no idea what the game is about then i wont play the demo. Most of the time i know if im going to buy something, so a demo wont help me.

I miss demos. Not only are they a good, well perfect, representation of if a game can run on a PC, but it helps me decide whether its fun enough to buy or not, so many games have and have not been purchased based on their demos.

Shame there don't seem to be that many any more.

I like demos but I can't deny that you can get burned by them. I remember loving the demos for Mirror's Edge, Dragon Age 2 and, Brutal Legend but once I had the full version it was just not the same. Recently though, I've played more modern demos than modern games.

If a demo is available then Ill always play it before I buy the game but usually their not available so I tend to go more on the reviews. You get more of a feel for the game after having played the demo, though if the reviews say the game is crap then the demo probably wont hold as much weight but I always like to at least have a go on a game before I buy it just to make sure I like the feel of the game. Like the darkness 2 I loved the first game but after having played the demo for it I would be loathed to buy the second one because they have changed the art style to cell shaded, which in some games doesn't bother me but compared to the first one it seems like a step down.

If there's a demo to a game I am unsure about and I can find the motivation to download it I will play the demo.

I miss Demo's coming on CD's though.

Depends on the game, if its something I'm not sure about but seems interesting I will before I decide whether or not to fork out for the full purchase, recent example being the darkness 2

If its a game I know I'm going to buy anyway I won't, recent example for that being Mass Effect 3

Usually no. I play demos only when I think I might be vaguely interested a game but definitely wouldn't buy it without trying it out. Most of the time, I only buy what I'm sure I want, so I prefer info to demos.

Every now and then. Running out of things to delete and make room for, though. I don't really have the largest storage. And ME3's demo is really goddamn big :/
Deleting that, I have less than 3GB left.

So, sometimes. I voted "Usually".

It's funny. I'll usually play demo's but only for games I'm pretty sure I don't want to buy. It's a small chunk of fun without spoiling any aspect of the games I'm going to buy.

I usually play demos. While I don't get much out of them story wise, it's good to know whether I can handle the game's controls. For instance, I recently downloaded the new SSX Tricky game. While I could tell it was a good game, I was so terrible at it (Like I was all those years ago!)

Therefore I now know not to buy the SSX Tricky game. However I have made my mind up that it is a good game, from what I have experianced.

And I will ALWAYS download trials for Arcade games - that's just common sense really.

Usually no. I play demos if I get a reward for doing so, such as with the cross-promotion between Kingdoms of Amalur and Mass Effect 3. Otherwise, no. I know my computer can handle anything I throw at it.
this, and the fact that i am pretty damn in tune with knowing what i do and don't like, and what developers i like and don't like, so cross referencing all that i tend to buy titles that i am very satisfied with.

I download demos when I am curious about a game, but not sure if it's good or not. Usually I just fork over the money though.

The only reason I haven't downloaded he Mass Effect 3 demo is I have little to no interest in the actual game.

If I'm interested in a game, a demo helps.

Yes, of course, why wouldn't you?
Unless time/ internet limit came into it.

I mean, not for EVERY game and sometimes i don't need to download the demo, but for most i do.

This whole thing with the ME3 demo has me curious. I have not looked at, watched, or even considered downloading the ME3 demo. I just don't play demos. I side with Yahtzee on this one. Okay I once downloaded the crysis demo, but that was just to make sure it would run on my PC at the time before I shelled out for it. But other than that, I have never played a demo, nor do I plan to.
I play demos either to test out the mechanics of a game I'm not yet sold on, as demos at the very least give you an idea in that regard. The only other time I play them is if I get them in one of those magazine demo discs with a whole bunch of different games on it, and that's just usually because out of simple curiosity. I bought it so I might as well check it out.
