I stopped playing it when it started taking piss.
You could tear through several monsters, be on your last potions, have no Prayer or Runes left, waste all your items, and you forgot to LVL Up your Craft stat to finihs the dungeon.
Before Runescape started being AWFUL, This feature never existed.

And for the forums, Everyone there can't take anyone's opinion. What? Is the Runescape's forums secretly made of the YouTube Cominuty?

And when you die, the fun beings! You have to race back to your death-point before some twat decides to wreck it before you can get your stuff back.

After I realised Runescape had went down the shitter I bought a copy of W.o.W, and I realised how much Money/Time I SHOULD of spent playing W.o.W, and how much money/time I should of SAVED By not playing Runescape.
Ah. The chuldhood memories of buying Full Access to the game when I was 15 years old. Back then it was simple, Hack-'n'-Slash Rpg-y-ness.
4 years later : W.o.W hit the stores, didn't care.
3 years later : Runescape started sucking, cared alot
Present : Runescape's dead, care WAAAY More.

I stopped playing it since my friends stopped playing it. I started playing it before i had friends who played it, though. Its a really good game, though. The quests were awesome, the community is really friendly, and not to mention the high security and mod support! Don't forget the events, though. I liked those a lot.

yeah, i used to years ago.

I remember i got a free Saradomin Helm (some guy got killed with it on and it dropped)
then the Grand exchange came out and I sold that sucker when the market price was high, then bought it back when the price got really low. Then i started playing Runescape: Stock Exchange simulator.

i think my last log i was sitting equipped with full Gold trimmed blue mage + gold Kite and a few mil or so in the bank. (No you can't have, I gave my account to my cousin)

I used to play it, and I got pretty good. I had finished all of the non-member quests and went
"Well I'm officially sick of dealing with all of these online douche bags so I'm out." and I haven't been on since.

When I discovered WoW, Runescape just didn't even compare.

It's good, and if it was free I would gladly play it, but I don't think it's worth it when so many other pay 2 play MMO's are better.

Tried it briefly once. Game looked kinda shitty, didn't care for the pvp system, and the community seemed to consist largely of insufferable pre-teens.

So I walked away and never looked back.

I sold my account years ago, I can't remember the level but I had full adamantite trimmed (I think, it was the green armor). I had a super high fishing level too, I love fishing on that game, dunno why though. I made another account a few months ago just for the fishing, it's changed a shitload.

It's not a bad game, it has charm, that's why I played it. Plus, I love MMOs that completely shaft you when you die.

I have never played it. I tried to register once several years ago, but after about 5 attempts at finding a username that wasn't already used, one of which I'm pretty sure was suggested by the game itself after one of my failed attempts. As I wasn't that interested in playing I decided not to bother with it and I've pretty much not encountered any reference to the game since.

I played the shit out of the non-member world.

Got rich as all hell by playing a merchant.
And then they screwed it up with that big market thingy.

So I left.

it got highly repetitive and like 98% of the game is available to members only from special servers to 9/10 of the free servers only being able to be accessed my members then it lags too i much. That 35 hrs i spent playing i wish ii got it back

Quote from uncyclopedia:

"RuneScape is an experiment to test people's toleration of boredom. It is produced by Jagex, a top-secret research organisation masquerading as a mediocre gaming company. The game features many repetitive tasks, yet researchers are puzzled by the fact that players find it so addictive. RuneScape is available to all players aged over thirteen, but this rarely works out in practice."

My thoughts exactly.

In all seriousnes I have some grudging respect for Jagex. With hardly any financial backing, paul and andrew Gower, turned a university side project into one of the worlds most populer MMORPGS.
