PC.
In addition to the obvious benefits, substantially more powerful hardware (even on 5 year old PCs compared to modern consoles), and the full keyboard compared to the 14-something buttons on the controller, you also have the ability to mod your games, which can make a mediocre game great, and a great game excellent. Plus there are fewer 13 year old dipshits, or bro-type fratboys around online, so that's also a plus.

Is this a con or a pro? I think what you're trying to say is that while you prefer consoles, it has flaws and this is one right here.

PC. I prefer the controls and the level of customization. Also, Steam.

Pro. No, I'm not going to turn this into a huge Halo debate, because that never leads anywhere but irritation and anger. No, I don't care what you think of the series. And by the way, no, your opinion is not universal fact.

I prefer my desktop over practically anything else. I don't really know why I like PC gaming more. I just do.

Eh, it really depends on the game.
RTS, I prefer using my PC. FPS, some on PC, some on console (I found L4D2 to be unplayable on PC, whereas I played the hell out of it on the 360. Didn't seem to control quite right on the PC version.)
Driving, I haven't played on PC, so console gets that. Tower defence games, PC.
The list goes on. I have no real preference.
Weird, I found the exact opposite in regards to L4D2, on PC I can play great, yet on xbox I felt dirty playing it. And Black Ops the opposite again, i'm always first or second on PS3 and on PC i'm lucky if I get a RCXD with hardline!

consoles suck cow nipples-.-
1: terrible controls
2: no different settings of graphics etc.
3: no free mods, dlc, skins etc
4: hardware cant be upgraded (have to constantly buy the newest version)
5: console games are usually more expensive
6: pc has easy internet access
7: pc can minimize the game window and do multiple things at a time
8: if you have a laptop you can easily transport it

why do you think all good games nowadays are released on pc a year after their console release? otherwise nobody would buy the consoles-.-

PC user here - been an avid PC gamer since the Commodore64.

I've owned quite a few console over the decades, but I'm a keeper of the faith.

depends on the situation;

If I am having a half dozen friends over to game until our eyes bleed... its gonna be halo or gears or something of the like on my 360. That is for two reasons, firstly because I have a 6foot TV with Bose surround sound. And secondly, because you can't split screen a PC game, almost none of them even support it. Thus, the 360 is gonna be the place for the party.

Alternatively... if I really want to make someone cry, I'm booting up my Sager laptop. The it runs absolutely everything on max settings, and its easier to get hold of more games, that said, it ultimately boils down to the mouse reaction speed for crushing the hopes and dreams of my foes.

Don't have gaming PC, prefer consoles anyway.

Also, question (for PC gamers): I have heard that playing online is bad because of the much higher amount of hackers on the PC (because it is much easier), how bad is it?

My PC isn't good enough, and I don't have the money to correct that. So consoles.

TBH, it depends on the title, and how patched it is - and what server you're playing on.

A lot of the big-league titles use PunkBuster, which is a 3rd party app that runs in the background on your rig, and the server, and will boot users for "cheats." It has it's occasional downfalls, but it keeps everything legit.

Some games, like CoD4, playing on a PB enabled server - there is NO cheating or hacking at all. It's simply non-existant. The current patch versions take care of the majority of glitches, and PB takes care of the rest. The one server I always paly on, I can only count one instance in the last 6 months of a user making use of an aim-bot, and the were permanently banned from the server within 5 minutes.

From my experience PC vs. console. Cheating, hacking and glitching isn't really a problem in the PC realm.

A much rehashed topic. Oh well, I will answer the same way.

I consider both different yet equal gaming experiences. Console gaming is better with friends over, is simple to set up and has a number of exclusives that I love. PC gaming on the other hand uses a mouse and keyboard[footnote]I love using a controller too but the mouse and keyboard allows for finesse and multiple hotkeys...>_>[/footnote] as well as having better RTS and MMO's. That and mods, oh mods...

So, in conclusion, I love both equally in their own unique way. As there is no option on the poll for my opinion, I did not vote. Happy New Year!

It all depends on the server (and the game I guess). Moderated servers? Only the bold cheat. Unmoderated servers? It really depends on the ethics of the people gaming there really... If no one votes off a cheater, it opens the door for more and... well, honest players like me just leave.
