It's not advisable to make a thread with "Read the title" in it or nothing else in the actual post...

OT: I play most games for the Single Player. I quite enjoy trying to get a good story from most games.
Same as. However I do like a good romp in multiplayer. To be honest I'm more of an offline multiplayer guy to be honest. Nothing beats sitting on a sofa with your bud duking it out in a fighting game, going head to head in a racing game or even teaming up in a Third-Person Shooter or FPS. Really, I'm both so I quite like games like Modern Warfare 2 with solid though Short Single-player but really fun co-op (loved Spec Ops).

I have to say, I really enjoy local co-op games with a friend, though it's hard to find one that likes running through whole games like that. It's the team camaraderie thing I like.

For online multiplayer, I like having a friend in the room, it's just more fun that way and it doesn't feel like me vs. the world. Also, I try to avoid teabagging since it's pretty stereotyped as the insult move of the gibbering 12-year old. I just punch the corpse on occasion. It's kinda funny since they often ragdoll across the stage if done right.

yeah both for me, there's nothing like completing a single player, but i play mostly on the multiplayer just because i think it has more longevity

Single player. I do play multiplayer games with some friends but I prefer single player games.

I prefer sinleplayer, but that's mostly because I can't seem to kill many people during a multiplayer mnatch, and just ten to go in with a group and I also try to be semi-sneaky.

I get bored very easily with multi-player, because you're constantly fighting the same battle over and over.

With single-player you get a well constructed adventure with interesting characters and story (if the game is good).

blah, real gamers never will go on multi player(online) often. (excluding PC gamers, RTS on-line rules)

most people who do go on-line are phoneys as such because they have been exploited or they are social freaks and dont want to miss out on the newest fad

Single-player 100% of the time in most genres but multi-player in sports and fighting games.

Single player only, unless it's something like Demon's Souls. I've had my share of fun with MMO's but that's over. Also, I was pleasantly surprised by the mannered nature of the SC2 beta testers so I enjoy going online on that, no matter if I win or lose, since there's no teabagging mentality going on. For the time being at least, I'm sure the retard hordes will fuck that up once the game is released.

its in the title.
for the sake of an easier way to judge hinge your decision on first person shooters
me I'll have to go both.

Always single, unless the multi player game has those people right next to me in a lan ect.
Since every fracking FPS devolves into aimbots and hacks in a week anyway...

I lean more towards singleplayer, but I do love a bit of local multiplayer or online if its with friends.

Both. I can get really into the story of a game like BioShock, but multiplayer like MW2 or Team Fortress 2 can be quite enjoyable with friends.

I enjoy both, but it really depends on the game. Heavy Rain? I could not imagine playing that with others around. God of War? Yeah, it's better with other people around. Left 4 Dead? I never play that without any friends.

With the emphasis on trying I suppose?

I prefer co-operative multiplayer.

Single player is fun, but it's almost always more fun with a friend.

I despise competitive multiplayer, though.
Agreed. I like to play with other players against some enemy (AI), but I'm not too keen on playing against the players.
