I don't drink, seeing as I'm allergic to ingesting alcohol. I can only drink maybe two beers before I really start itching. Kind of sad, seeing as I come from a family of hard drinkers. Tons of fun at weddings.

I just turned 21 yesterday, so obviously it's my first time ever drinking *cough.*

I rarely overdrink, and usually just relax and have a good time. After my first time drinking to the point of puking everywhere, I learned what my limit is. I'm not crazy, and don't even like partying at huge gatherings. I prefer being with a few close friends. Err...when I drink in Canada...of course...

I really like drinking ale, I knock back a couple of bottles a day, and I probably still would even if it were non-alcoholic. Heavy drinking I've been trying to cut down on though, I tend to make a bit of an idiot of myself from time to time...

I can't have alcohol due to being on prescription medication. Thirty-one years and counting.

Drinking at a bar is only fun with friends. I hate trying to talk to people I don't know.

Also, there was one time when I drank 2 bottles of sake by myself while watching Netflix all night. Made me never want to drink sake again.

I have never consumed a significant amount of alcohol, nor do I ever intend to.
It's very expensive, and tastes like arse.

Sitting at home drinking vodka alone is not my idea of a good time.

Getting into a social situation where people are normally drinking is what is fun.
I tend to only drink at occasions, but also at gatherings like BBQs and stuff.
In those situations, it's fun. I will usually have 4-5 drinks, but I never get more than tipsy.
I have to agree with this post. Drinking is only fun if you're actually having fun in the setting you are drinking anyway. I don't go out to bars with the intention of getting drunk alone, but I often get drunk when I am at a party where I know people. I don't like going all out like so many others do, but I do have fun.

Social drinking, yes. But then given the right circumstances I'd be just as happy tipping water down my throat. Booze is fun as long as I don't overdo it. Fortunately for me I can actually recognise when I'm on the verge of getting too drunk and have a tendency to loudly announce that I'm not allowed anymore alcohol.

Except when you like the taste of alcoholic drinks, like I do. I've never gone out drinking with other people but I drink pretty often nonetheless. Mostly liquor, straight like Jagermeister, amaretto or 43 or mixed like a gin-tonic or a rum-coke, sometimes cider or a beer and when we have it a nice glass of wine.

The only time I went a bit overboard is when I had some unfortunate feelings to drown. Got nauseous at the smell of Jagermeister for a while after that.

If I get slightly drunk or stay completely sober, yes, I enjoy it. If I get really drunk, no. Absolutely hate it.
I usually drink only with friends while having an all-nighter, but sometimes I'll grab a beer and drink while playing a game or watching a movie.

Hm, I suppose.
I don't really drink at home because if I have spare money I'd rather spend it on sweeties or games. Yes, I'm a big kid.
I drink alchopops anyway, so I do like the taste of the stuff I drink, but I don't have much reason to drink at home.

Only time I drink to avoid feels is to get through Christmas with my parents.

Yeah, though not too many.

Usually a Irish coffee during lunch, a beer or wine with dinner and then usually a glass of liquor in the evening.

Honestly I prefer getting stoned, so 9/10 times I'll be stoned rather then drunk.

I've drank a few times to be sociable, but never really enjoyed it. So now I just don't.

Eh, alcohol tends to have a lessish effect on me. When I drink it, I get the urge to stop. Not because I feel sick, not because I don't like the taste, but I just don't feel like drinking more.
I think I've had maybe 1 can of scotch, 1 of beer and 1 of bourbon in the last year.

Yeah, I'm Aussie too.

I'll basically drink a little for the social aspect, and to loosen up a bit considering how amazingly uptight I can be about most things half the time, and after that I generally prefer to just have soft drinks or water. THAT stuff is morish, and the amounts that I drink of that send me into sugar highs that are worse than most people I know when they're drunk - mostly because they struggle to stand up whilst I struggle to sit down and stop running around and shouting stuff. A bit under 2.5 Litres Red Creaming Soda in 20 minutes. All it takes.

Depends on what the situation calls for. Chilling at home alone after a hard days work? damn right I'll have a couple of brews. Catching up with mates on a saturday night at a bar/pub or house party, You bet your sweet ass I'll be knocking back more than a few drinks. If i'm just chilling with my friend over a game of pool or smash brothers on the wii, probably not. all depends on the situation

And FYI the taxes imposed on RTD beverages are there simply to give Julia more of your tax money cash moolah, under the facade of trying to curb underage drinking. Theres nothing stupid about it. There are better alternatives that wouldnt involve taxation, but its insanely easy to slap a sin tax on these beverages and be done with the issue.
