I say pop, which I think pretty much everyone from Canada does.
I've seriously never heard ANYONE call it soda, and people only say Coke if they are refering to cola, nothing else.

I find myself using the term "soda pop".
Presumably I'm just weird and also live in Pennsylvania. Most people around here call it pop. However, thinking about it, I was born in Texas and I think they call it soda. Hmmm...

I call it whatever the brand name is.
Not all "sodas" ion the UK are "Coke" (as in Coca-Cola)

I refer to all Cola's as Coke
Everything erlse is the brand name, eg Fanta (orangeade), Sprite (lemonade)

It'd be weird to call non-colas coke. It'd be to vague to call a specific drink pop or soda.

Colas are coke. It's rum and coke, not rum and Pepsi. Anything else fizzy I call pop.

I'm from the UK and you pretty much never hear anyone say 'soda' or 'pop'. It's a dead giveaway if you do that you're not from the UK or are fairly old. I've noticed that older people tend to say 'pop' when they are talking to children. Coke is used to refer to anything cola flavoured, be it Pepsi or Coca-Cola or any other drink with a cola flavour. We then tend to refer to other fizzy drinks by their respective name. e.g. Lemonade, cherryade etc.

Coming from England, I have never heard anyone say pop. I usually say either soda or coke.
