Poll: Do you scream when you are scared/surprised?

I tend to scream, but it's less "OHGODITSTHEENDOFDAYSBLOODLUSTWARCRYRAAAAAAWRGH!" and more just a startled yell of suprise.

I'd like to think I don't do it often, but five minutes ago I was playing some Minecraft and gave a little yelp when an Enderman telported to the tip-top of my tower and started wailing on me. Fuck Silent Hill, Minecraft is where gaming scares are at.

I don't scream because for some reason I can't, all that really comes outs is a yell.

Anyways, what will normally happen is just me yelling a string of obscenities and potential violence depending on what's going on. I know it's not very lady like, but dammit, it's the way it's got to be!

I've never screamed, save the singing sort, except on two occasions.
Once was my first time on a rollercoaster, looking down from the top and the point right as you're going down.

Made me tense up. Was mainly the odd noise...and the fact I had my laptop 3 inches from my face .

I mostly "eep" or high-pitched scream. But I'm a girl so it's adorable instead of mortifying.

Not scream but I've been known to grunt or utter swears if something takes me completly by surprise.

I used to not to, but while playing Amnesia, since there were so many surprise scares when I accidentally open a door and a monster is standing right behind it or something, I've found that "screaming" helps make me not as scared - Though I don't really "scream" as much as I do A BARBARIAN YAWP. As in, I kind of make a groaning guttural yell from the back of my throat. It sounds really hilarious whenever anyone watches me play Amnesia, so I guess I'm doing it right.

i generally don't scream when scared or startled, i freeze up for a second and my eyes widen.
then i realize it's nothing and just go blank faced again.

i've let out a yelp of surprise in the past but never an all out scream.
(and the yelp has only come out maybe a half dozen times.)

i do hope when the time comes that i do actually scream it's more of a primordial roar that scares the living daylights out of everything within earshot, but it probably won't be that awesome.

not that i've never screamed mind you but that's mostly to scare other people so not out of fear.

I pretty much play dead. I try not to react to anything so I don't draw attention.

I don't generally swear either. Just aggravated noises.

I don't scream, I yell. And that's only when I have much valuable stuff on me and there is a creeper saying "Hi! That'ssss a nice everything you've got there. It would be sssuch a ssshame if sssomething were to happen to it. SSSSSssssss..."
And that's only when I'm playing at the server in my school on Thursdays.
But in any other occasion when I'm scared, I just jump a little bit.

No, but then i've got two testicles and the instinctive reaction to lash at out whatever just tried to do whatever. well, actually thats a bit of a lie.

My first reaction is to distance myself a bit to get hte full frame of whatever, then its to lash out. so yes, i jump if something surprises me.

Actually in all honesty, I dont know if I've ever heard a man scream and he wasnt being satirical, ironic, or acting. I've heard men yell, and I've heard men shout. I've even certainly seen men cry. But I've never heard or seen one scream before.
