Who out there still owns their original console/s from the last two generations. I'm sure there are those who still possess their good old PS2 or Xbox, or still game on their first Xbox 360 or PS3. Vote on the poll and/or explain in a post.

I am currently on my second Xbox 360, I dropped my first one while moving it around the house. Long story short the it wouldn't read discs effectively or allow me to make any saves on any games. Luckily my profile, current saved games, memory etc, was fine so I simply transferred it over when I got my second one. It hasn't failed me ever since and that was 3 years ago. I also still own (or at lest my brother still owns) my original silver PS2, that thing would survive an atomic blast and still work as if nothing happened.

I have my original Sega Genesis... well I still have my PS3 as well but it's not old yet.

My PS1 had an accident during a very intense game of Frogger and my brother sold the PS2 for drugs. Still hate him for it.

Y'know you coulda just arranged the options by generation.
Like, Yes I still own my first PS3/XB360/Wii, PS2/XB/GC, etc.

OT:
Nope, I left my old consoles back home with my younger cousin when I moved and bought new ones here. I still own my first DS and PSP though.

Nope.

My Genesis dies a few years back, I have no idea what happened to my virtual boy (I think I sold it), I sold my Dream cast, my PS1 got sold, and my PS2 vanished.

Fun story about the PS2; I loaned it out to a friend's house, since we all used to hang out there anyway. One day, I come down, and I'm told it had started to act up, so my other buddy was going to fix it. No one calls and asks me if it's all right, but whatever. Couple months go by, and I finally decide to ask after it. I get a big shrug. "It's gone. Don't know how". Well, damn.

I still have my original Mega Drive (apparently called Sega Genesis in the US?), with most of my original games from that era. And it's in working condition too. Sometimes, for nostalgia's sake, I'll put in one of these games and bask in the wonderful graphics and music. :) At some point in my life I will complete Echo the Dolphin.

Still own all my original consoles back to the SNES I did have earlier ones but I sold them. The only consoles that have failed me are PS2 which started scratching my discs, My Xbox which broke 3 times and my 360 which RROD (like every other one) I fixed this though or rather its fixed for the moment and has lasted about 1 year so far.

PS1, PS2, PSP, Xbox, Xbox 360, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Gameboy, Gameboy Colour, Gameboy SP, DS, 3DS, Mega Drive, Dreamcast. I still have all these consoles and play them whenever I can apart from my PSP and my DS which are broken, but even then I still keep them as memories. I have never replaced any of these consoles which make me feel so happy.

I understand these consoles wont last forever but luckily they work now and that's the important thing. Who know, if I ever have a kid I could get out one of my consoles and play some old games with him

Most likely my N64, that thing survived a hammer blow with only scratches to the casing

I feel like your thread was poorly titled. The title makes it seem like you'd be asking about the console that got us into gaming, yet in you post it seems you're only asking about the most recent generations of consoles.
Also your poll options kind of suck too. You left out both the Wii and GameCube from the poll, and there isn't an option for any combination of consoles that weren't made by the same company, for example Xbox 360 and PS3.

On topic though, I still own both my original Wii and GameCube plus my original PS3. In fact I own all of my original consoles back to the NES. I don't like to sell them in case I would ever want to play them again and I take good care of them so they don't break.
Edit: Although I did give my original DS to my parents so they could play Tetris and Sudoku and my old DS Lite to one of my friends when I got my 3DS.

Looking just at the most recent generation I can't understand why people put up with having to buy more than one of the same console. I'm looking at you Microsoft. If I had two Xbox 360s RROD on me I wouldn't buy a third, I'd migrate to a system that wouldn't break down if you so much as looked at it funny.

My 360 and my Gamecube are my original consoles from when I bought them new. I got a PS2 for christmas way back which got traded in. I picked up another one a few years later. All my retro consoles were ones I picked up on eBay/car boot sales etc.

Yes, all of them.

NES, Mega Drive + CD, N64, Dreamcast, PS2, Gamecube, Xbox, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, GBA SP, PSP, DS, 3DS.

All still working and they'll remain with me so long as they keep doing that. Though I'll admit I don't play anything older than 6th gen anymore. Not the physical consoles and games at least, those are safely stored. I play the games I own for those through emulation. I still pull out the originals once in a while.

I'm going to join the queue of people complaining about the poorly thought out poll options. It's no biggie though.

I still have my N64, Gameboy, GBC, GBA, PS1&2 and Xbox. After all of these years they still work because they were made pretty damn well even after several of them had been dropped down some stairs and survived various house movings. On the other hand I went through three 360s in about 4-5 years, two red ringed and the third (the former new version) just didn't seem to be worth keeping so I sold it.

I probably have other consoles hiding in various cupboards or in the garage/shed. But it would take Time Team to excavate them at this point.

Master System, Mega Drive, PS1, Dreamcast, PS2, GameCube, Wii, Wii U, PS3, Gameboy Colour, Gameboy Advance, original fat DS, DSi XL, 3DS XL, PSVita.

Oh and a gaming PC that's fast becoming a legacy machine.

So yeah, lots of them.

I still own my N64 and PS2, yes. If this is exclusively last and this gen consoles, then no. I never bought any. PC was a much wiser investment that has served me well for many years.

I still have my original console, which was a Binatone TV Master 4+2 from the mid-seventies (with the light gun!). I also have a working PS1, which my boys like to play with (with a mouse and light gun!).

I only got an XBox 360 because my friends lured me.
