I love every part of the game except the bosses and the ending. This sounds like it would be a major issue, but strangely enough its not. The gameplay and rest of the story make up for it and I would highly recommend its purchase.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a horrible game.

Wait, let me go play all the way through it again, just to make sure.

I liked it. The story, the open-world (within certain reasons), and the many side quest and moral choices. The gameplay seemed a little off to me but I enjoyed the game.

God damn internet connection bailed as I went to post so I'll make what was a long post short.

It is a great game, it has a good story, a fantastic aesthetic and most importantly excellent level design. It was never going to be as good as the original that was a given but it is still brilliant and a worthy addition to the DX name.

Also it is extremely fun if you want it to be. Taking down the whole detroit city police force with a vending machine for example is hilarious.

It has rough edges but they remind me of older games and how they would actually add to a game. What would the original DX be without all the little things you could exploit. Go watch the speed run for the original yourselves to see what I mean. The A.I can be dumb but exploiting it is all the more fun, I mean what would MGS be like if the guards were as intelligent as those in F.E.A.R?

The game gets some valid criticism but I would not take the advice of anyone who first played the game with the object and mission locators/indicators on. It ruins the game. All exploration and reward is lost. Turn it off and you will be finding new ways to complete missions and other secrets after multiple playthroughs.

Finally it's cheap and I would say it's an essential purchase. Go buy it, ignore all naysayers.
Please, explain to me how it has a good aesthetic.

I shall go brew some of my favorite tea in preparation for my elitist, humorous chuckle at your inevitably foolish response.
Are you kidding me? I think it will be I who will have to laugh at your own ignorance/stupidity. Please pick one.

The artistic direction is excellent, the gold and black aesthetic is vibrant and carries with it a sense foreboding fitting the themes of the story. It brings the world to life, especially in the cityscapes/hubs where the uses of lighting create a suitable atmosphere and mood.

Furthermore the aesthetic is one which is unique to HR and so gives the game an unmistakable visual identity much like the original Deus Ex' cold blue aesthetic did.
No, no my friend, I've wasted too much time arguing against ignorance.

Which is why I brought my tea. I feel so very refreshed after that long sip and hearty laugh.
Arguing? I see no argument of yours here, nor discussion or any modicum of intelligence.

Enjoy your chuckle all the same...

Do you really mean that or are you being sarcastic? Because if you believe that it is horrible then why are you playing through it several times?
