think about it.

Recent movies have been shit and done poorly in the box office

Examples: Saw franchise, G-Force, Aliens in the Attic, The Ugly Truth, Parody movies, ect.

I thought they ran out of movie ideas years ago! Maybe even a decade ago.

I have an awesome response to this, but can someone tell me how to embed a youtube video first, because it loses the dramtic-ness if I just link the trailer.
You have to type [you*tube*=(the number at the end of your video)] without the asterisk.

Its doubtful, hollywood is run very strangely in my opinion. Sometimes scripts to movies can float around studios for years without anyone paying them much attention, often they end up being very good original movies. I think all these movies are attempts to make a quick dollar, nothing is ever a complete failure, somoene got paid no matter what.
This basically sums up my thoughts on the topic.

Yeah, the idea well is running dry. We need more good, original movies.

You shouldn't have parentheses, and take out the "v". That's where your going wrong.
It should be youtube=numbers, and you put that in brackets.

There are of good movies coming out. You just have to look harder for them. Main stream Hollywood does not produce the great stuff really. Recent movies like "The Hurt Locker" and "Moon" prove that great movies are still being made. It is just that the ratio of good to bar is around 10 to 1.

No.

You may think they are because Hollywood is built on blockbusters. Blockbusters obviously need high production values and oftentimes this means being a recognizable brand. However, look a little closer and you'll see that there are a number of more original movies. Avatar and District 9 are good examples of such films (both are to be released in the coming month if I'm not mistaken).

Got it, thank you. I guess you learn something old everyday.

Here you go. Also, why use a giant octopus. Everyone knows giant squids are ten times better.

Also, whenever someone mentions giant sharks I always think of this.

I don't think they are, they are just unwilling to put forth new ideas, at least right now..
