Its pretty likely that sometime a supercomputer will be created,
then its likely at some point in time the super computer will make every possible universe
then in that simulation the same thing will happen
so its pretty likely that we are all in a simulation of a simulation of a simulation etc.

I think I am all, therefore I am all. At least to you. Soon. Time is not relative to my disastrous benefits.

But for all purposes every universe would be "real" to its citizens in it's own right since they would be self-aware. What would distinguish us from AI in video games, is that they're not aware of themselves or their universe individually, they're just following programming. I guess you could argue that humans are just really complex AI following programming as well, but... If a simulation functions the exact same way as a reality would, is there even a difference at that point? Also, if it's a supercomputer, is it so advanced there are never programming errors? Wouldn't there be glitches and such where the laws of the simulation universe are broken?

Classic saying, I think, therefore I am. I exist because I am aware of my own existence. That and I just stepped on a toothpick. How does something that doesn't exist shriek that loud?

If I didn't exist, how would I be able to contemplate my existance?

"I think, therefore I am": Descartes had it down. You can deny anything else, but you'd have to be really, really convincing to argue that statement at all.

For some reason I am inclined to believe that I exist objectively. I realize it's possible that I could just be a dream or thought, but the limitations of my feeble mind won't let me fully believe it.

I know that I exist... But how do I know you all exist?
Or whoever is reading this you probably know you exist but how do you know I exist?
I try not to think about it every day because of stuff like I just wrote.

"Each reality is but the dream of another, and each sleeper a god unknowing." This pretty much sums it up.

Nothingness cannot think or have complex emotions. I think, therefore I am.
It's not that you're nothingness, it's just that you don't exist in the conventional sense. Simply believing that you are a thinking, emotional, physically embodied creature does not strictly make it so. Saying that "I'm here, because I'm saying that I'm here" is not really useful. It's a sort of bare assertion fallacy.

However, saying that since we appear to be thinking and so on lends credence to the idea that we simply do (because not everything has to be so complicated) and thus we have an existence, I can get behind that.

I would have to think that those around me would also have to be written by the same person... and the difference between depth and quality of characters suggests that we would be the product of a writing staff more than one person...

and the way we act reflects upon them and their own actions... so I wouldnt call them very good role models either
