Not me, no. Hell, I can barely get to work without tripping over something, and that's a DRIVE

There is only one perfect crime: The one that no one knows has occurred. Yes, I could, but I could never tell you a single detail, or it wouldn't be perfect.

I assume that if I were ever to kill someone, I would poison them so as to be as discreet as possible.

That said, I'd probably give myself away somehow. Knowing me, I'd drop my social security number and birth certificate at the scene of the crime.
Shit, you got that right. Knowing me, I'd do it, and then trip on something, bust my face, knock myself out cold, and wake up with the police there.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
there is no perfect crime since you can never predict all the variables, you could have a fantastic plan and have almost everything go right but then something goes wrong or you could have a horrible plan but get lucky and it manages to fall tho the cracks

I'm not a hacker but maybe you can use a bot net to hack a bank or something.
and you do very step with another part of your bot net so you just can't be traced. and use something a special bank account that you have hacked. and than you can shop online with the money but don't be so stopped to let it deliver the your home

Yeah i think I could.

1) Get credit card info (work as a waiter or something, you only need the card for a few sec to take a pic of each side)
2) Use it to buy online goods (like WoW gold) move it around online, never use trackabel conenction
3) sell said WoW gold (or other virtual goods)
4) Profit

Alarmingly easy to do tbh.

So NEVER leave anyone you don't know and trust alone with your credit card. When i'm at a restaurent, and has to pay with credit card, i always follow the waiters so they're never alone with my card. I know they're most likely good people, but it's not worth taking chances, even if they look at you like you're some sort of paranid psycho.

EDIT: I assumed you ment all sorts of crime, and not just murder. I am not plannign on commiting any crime, but I think most people would much rather steal money than kill.
This sounds incredibly easy to trace and somewhat infeasible at the same time.

Using your example of wow gold: assuming your account isn't locked by blizzard you would have to somehow legitimately transfer all that gold back to another account. Since all transactions in MMOs are recorded as soon as the gold buying ring gets busted you lose.

Then coming to selling the gold... I'll be honest, this is an awful lot of work and risk for something that doesn't seem likely to give you much financial gain.

This may be a decent idea in theory, but finding an high value untraceable commodity to shift online seems somewhat unlikely at first glance.

...
WoW gold was just an example of a virtual good you could use. The whole idea of virtual goods is that you don't have to have any physical goods shipped to an adress which can be traced. If you move the gold around between a few different accounts you will be able to say that it was given/traded to you as a thx for some help or something, thereby distancing you from the crime.

If you make the account with game time cards, or a credit card that isn't connected to you (you stole lots of peoples Credit card info remember) they cannot trace the account back to you.

If you use wireless internet and just drive around a city till you find an unprotected connection they cannot use IP to find you. Heck if theres other things than IP i don't know about you just gotta do it on a large enough scale, so you can just get rid of the labtop once you're done. (Ramzi from thebroken.org has a good hacker tip on how to dispose of a labtop... it involves thermite:p )

The beuty/scary thing about it is that it's basicly untraceble, at least you can always pretend you're innoscent and that some guy just gave you the gold. At leatst you won't be guilty of anything but selling gold.

Theres probably better online goods to use, i just don't know them. As far as i know, most poker sites doesn't allow fixed matches, so you can't just play them arround between different accounts and then finallyu to your own account (the one using YOUR credit card) and claim that you won them.

Well the perfect crime would be one in which no one knew it even happened so by posting what it would be here I would ruin any chances I currently have of perpetrating the perfect crime.

...Yeah, no. Even if I was absolutely sure I would get away with it, I know full well I wouldn't be able to live with it on my conscience.

If I did, I'd just end up writing a hypothetical book about what I'd do if if I got away with said crimes, and then go to prison. :/

Sure. Why do you think it's called perfect? It would be imperfect if there were any chance of not getting away with it.

Yea I could do it.

Drug the target, take them to a remote location, very deep grave.

Depends if I had a cereal box (preferably lucky charms) some industrial glue, and a hazmat suit...
