Poll: do you use cheats when gaming?

I have an annoying friend who will come up behind me when I'm gaming and prompt a conversation like this:

"It isn't a cheat"

"Type 'set_money_9999'"
"That sounds an awful lot like a cheat"

Only if I have beaten the game, and the cheats are part of the game (IE not something like Gameshark) and I still usually only use them for fun if I have to unlock them through some challenge, like in Perfect Dark.

It depends on the game. If it's single-player in a game I've beaten before and I just want to have fun with it, like when I'm playing Jedi Knight 2, then yes. Otherwise, no.

I cheated alot until I found out my skill as a gamer suffered terribly, now I only cheat to screw around, which is what GTA was practically made for.

Only for fun (GTA). Nothing to make completing the game easier. Sometimes to overcome glitches, but lately I've only been playing console games, so not even that anymore (this morning I was stuck in a Fallout 3 rock formation again...).

I used to use cheats to extend the lifespan of a game (usually by becoming a minor deity after I'd beaten the game the fair way), but these days I tend not to.

I only cheat in RTS games when I'm in single player, because cheating in a multiplayer match is really annoying

I didn't choose either option, because I use cheats sometimes, but don't characterize myself as a cheater.

In single player games I only cheat to mess around, and I keep it separate from serious playing (if I cheat in GTA, for instance, I won't save the game afterwards).

In multiplayer games, I would only make use of cheats or glitches in a "friends messing around" kind of setting, not in serious play.

I never use cheats. I honestly see no point in doing it. It just makes the game less challenging and fun.

I don't, it's not fun for me, save for teh occational god-mode thing after i've beaten the game without cheating.
I have nothing against people who cheat in single player games, if they're having fun doing it then fair enough, why would i care.
I hate people who cheat in multiplayer though, it's only pathetic retards who either enjoys griefing, or honestly just likes to win so much, that they don't care whether they actually won, or cheated their way to victory, like people who will feel proud by winning a fist-fight against a 10 year old.

I do cheat, but rather infrequently, and only when going on without them would normally result in much longer waits and much more boredom.

I will only ever use cheats after I've completed the game at least once. Then to mess around I may have a go with a few cheats.

I use cheats on games like GTA4 or Saints Row 2... It adds to the fun. I don't use them to help me advance in the story only to enhance the fun.

Same here I didn't do any of the story line in GTA4 or saints row 2 well it does add fun i have to admit especially randomly spawning boats on top of people
