When creating a thread, do you use the search bar to look for similar threads or posts? I'll be honest upfront. I usually don't, and this thread may very well be proof of that. But my question to you, Escapists, is this:

Do you actually use the Search Bar when making a thread?

I don't make threads. I am afraid of creating content that will make people hate me.

Actually, it's because I don't have anything interesting to talk about.

yes i do, but then again depending on your wording your threads could be a copy even if you did search bar
My threads arn't very popular even if they're original-ish

Nope, I don't make threads. Goes against the whole shy guy thing to actually start a conversation.

Sometimes but not ussually, I ussually try to think of a really unique idea, not to mention the search function almost always freezes my computer.

When I create a thread I do use the search bar. So yeah....

Like many others I get a bit annoyed how every week there is someone asking "Wuts da best movie quote evar!" or "Bestest song from a game" You can only answer that stuff so many times before you just want to slap someone.

No. Because I refuse to bow down to the Search Bar Nazis. Anyone who ever dares to post 'Search Bar!' on one of my threads will get their asses mailed in a PM to whatever mods are online. They're as bad as trolls.

Sometimes, but I rarely make threads unless I'm 75%-100% sure they're original.

Regardless, I haven't made a thread in ages...

The few times I have made a thread (many moons ago), they were all literally 'Search Bar Approved'. It just saves a lot of hassle later, for only a few minutes checking...

Yes, but i usually stop looking after about a year(or six months if there are a lot of results) most people who say checked search bar say they looked through like 3 pages or something mad props to them because i get bored after one page of looking at topics. I have gotten accused of adding to the 2012 craze but i typed 2012 in the search bar and got no relavent results for over a year back and my topic was unique i was talking about Nasa and what they had to say about it.
