When I do make a thread I use the search, but it isn't always good.

Bear in mind I make very few threads.

When I think it might be necessary, yes.

However, the mods lock all my threads so I just don't make them as much as I used to.

I do use the search bar as I know it is good for the community, and as such I know if I don't, I'll feel the communities wraith.

If it's something topical, obviously I don't. I only really use it if its something that could've been done recently and generally if I don't remember the thread on it its been too far away.

Having to click the thread just to find out what 'it' is is quite annoying.

Yeah, every time. Actually, sometimes I don't need to because a thread with the same idea I had will be on the front page. It kind of freaks me out. I feel like the internet can read my mind.

I didn't use it for my first few threads, but now I use it everytime I make one.

No, because most if not all of my threads are original enough so that there's little chance of a repeat.

Additionally, if a thread is more than a month stale no one should bother you for making a new one IMO.

No. I do not need to. I do not make threads and spend most of the time lurking in the games section.

No, and I don't make threads anyway. Only reason for that is because I feel I'm still new enough where most of the topics I'd bring up would probably be shot-down, irrelevant, or a waste of my time (and maybe yours too).

Sometimes I'm sure that there isn't a past thread, but others I double check.
