why ps2? it should be on ps3
No it shouldn't.
give me reasons why it shouldn't
1. PS3 sucks balls.
2. PS3 owners are generally faggots who buy the Elite version because it's marketed as better.
3. PS3 owners generally hate games like J&D, so the game would hardly sell.
4. There are already 4 J&D games on PS2, it's a tradition.
1. thats your opinion...

2. since when has their been a elite ps3 version?

3.since when do we hate games like Jak and Daxter? Uncharted has lots of elemets from Jak and Daxter...

4. rachet and clank had 4 games on the ps2 and now its on the ps3...
1. It's a well-formed opinion :)
2. Since about a month after PS3 was released. I think the old one was abandoned and now you can only get the Elites...
3. Since you bought the PS3 in the first place and forever scarred yourself as a lowlife.
4. Ratchet and Clank sucks.

See what I did there?

Yeah, the ps3 is only the console that released the most high quality games this year. source

There is no elite ps3. Also, buying the version of the console that has more memory if you have the money and know you will need the space is not a bad thing. Also, no one will hound you for not buying the more expensive one.

I own a ps3 and I would buy a new ND Jak and Daxter game. I would say you don't know anything about the PS3 community.
4. There are already 4 J&D games on PS2, it's a tradition.
They actually have 5 games on ps2. Of course, Jak isn't exclusively there with 2 games on the psp. The two games on the psp would ruin your idea of any 'tradition'.

I don't really know.
If Naughty Dog could make and pull it off, sure, why not?
But I can't help feeling it'd just get a little "same-y". There's not many more gameplay elements you could add without it having too much going on, but if they don't add stuff it'll just be the same as Jak 2 and 3.

But whatever, if they made a new one I'd still get it because Jak and Daxter is effing amazing.

High QUALITY? ON PS3?

Back to the mental asylum! BACK!

And what's the fifth game on PS2?

@Korten: The PS3 Elite is the new version of PS3, which is actually quite old now. They 'upgraded' the PS3 by adding a gig or two of memory, and removed all PS2 support for the damn thing. That's why if you walk into a store now and buy a PS3, you can't play PS2 games on it.

I can clearly see I've failed in my duty as a poster. I've fed a troll. Eh, why stop now. Tell me, what are your opinions on Uncharted 2?(this should be great)
And what's the fifth game on PS2?
Here are the PS2 J&D games: J&D: TPL, Jak 2, Jak 3, Jak X: Combat Racing, and Jak and Daxter: The Lost frontier. The lost Frontier is kind of new, so I wouldn't blame you for having not heard of it.

As they never title a single ps3 better than another, this is a lie. Now if we were going to name one of the ps3 consoles better than the other I would have to say the original 60gig was the best. Removing BC really was a bad idea, but hey, I got one that is fully BC so I'm good.

I have and a 360. But I think if a new console Jak & Daxter came out for the PS3 I would switch over just for that.

ps3 has more exclusives than xbox 360
multiplayer is free
ps3 owners are generally more mature than 360 owners and multiplayer isn't filled with 10 year olds who think they are the greatest
ps3 owners love jak and daxter, all my friends that have one think j&d is great
naughty dog even talked about making another jak and daxter game
i don't think the ps3 sucks, i actually like it better than the 360

As long as they tone down the MOTHERFUCKING DIFFICULTY just a bit, cool.
Dude. It's called Jak 3. Serene, man, serene.

But then there's Jak X, a competent little cart racer, with ri-GODS-DAMNED-DICULOUS physics. I can't beat the last cup. Neither can anyone I know. The CP gets too good and the physics never get any better. Fuck that game. *goes back to playing it*

and now theres this thing for the psp. i know nothing about it. someone inform me of it

AND THEN GET NAUGHTY DOG OFF ITS ASS AND MAKE THEM MAKE JAK TRILOGY FOR XBOX AND PS3!
its impossible for it to be on Xbox.

naughty dog = sony. :p
I know. But if they team up with Insomniac they can fight their way out of the company with Insomniac's huge arsenal of ludicrous weaponry. Then, once free, they can create the most epic game ever in tandem, based on their own epic escape from the dungeons of Sony.

Yes, i was waiting for someone to set me up for that. thank you sir

Not voting on that poll.

And heck yes, but for PS2 ONLY. Make all those PS3 Elite owners cry.
It's already out. it's called the lost frontier. It didn't sell for shit.

Let's just be honest, if they want to validate making another Jak game, a few things must happen:

1) It must be on the ps3. Selling it on the newest console justifies hyping the game up and will likely see a bigger return.

2) Jak needs to do more platforming. This is just a returning to your roots situation. The newest game does have platforming, but it was very sub-par. Bring the platforming back up to Precursor Legacy standards.

3) It must be created by Naughty Dog. The truly high quality J&D games came from Naughty Dog, and we know Naughty Dog is capable of making great games(how many game of the year awards for U2?). I also didn't much care for the look of the new game and I believe that Naughty Dog could fix the quality control issues, but that's just nitpicking(though I can't really blame High Impact, it was a psp game after all).

4) Retcon most of the new game. There were a lot of things that could be said about the new game. The story developing gaping plot holes in its latest incarnation is one of those things, For example Dark Daxter makes absolutely no sense.
Daxter got turned into a precursor by falling in a vat of Dark Eco. Now, Jak 3 would tell us that precursors who meddle with Dark Eco become one of the Dark ones. Daxter didn't become a dark one, he became a buffer Daxter. This angers me to be honest.
If all of these requirements were met, I would gladly squeal in excitement like the little fanboy I am at the idea of a new Jak and Daxter game.
It works because daxter isnt a precursor naturally. The humanoid race has a natural abilty to channel the eco that precursor physiology does not share, only some are better at it than others (like the sages, and jak). Im more concerned that kras city has apparently always existed even though Haven city was the last city left, all the other were destroyed by metal heads.

There is the problem for me though. It doesn't matter if he wasn't originally a precursor, physiologically he is one now and shouldn't be able to channel eco. On top of that there is the question of how he was able to become Dark Daxter so quickly when it took Jak two flipping years of experimentation to get to that point. You also begin to wonder how on earth Daxter hasn't turned into Dark Daxter before this point. What with constantly riding on the 'dark eco freak's shoulder he should have come in contact with tiny bits of dark eco at SOME point in time. Why didn't he absorb it and become dark then? Other than all of that, I hate the very concept as well as the voice they gave him. Nails on a chalkboard to my ears.

I understand where you are coming from with this question, but hell, the same thing could have been asked about Spargus city in Jak 3. I assumed that "every city outside the walls has been destroyed" was just Praxis trying to convince everyone that Haven City was the only way to live.

Well spargus made sense at least. In haven they wouldn't know it existed, and would assume everyone died out in the desert. And then since they are all ARMED TO THE TEETH they could prolly fight off the metal heads.

With easy listening.

Wait, now that I go back to Jak 3 and look at a few things. They did know that Spargus existed. They planted a homing beacon on Jak so Damas's crew would find him. So they knew about Spargus, they just didn't tell anyone. So it's possible they knew about the world beyond the brink and just didn't tell anyone to trick them into thinking Haven was the only city.

What I don't believe in can't kill me!
OT: No, and I own Jak and Daxter 2, and Daxter. I played the demo for the PSP one and realised how cliched and boring the gameplay really was. Don't get me started on the freakin dialogue...
