Absolutely. The unbridled shennanigans of the first one should now be graded--like taking a random person to the nearest tallest tower, jumping and throwing them as a far as possible, and trying to find them again. Bonus points if you hit a car. New abilities would be sweet, and they can ditch those useless musclemass arms. Hehe, imagine if Prototype 2 and inFamous came out around the same time again...

Prototype was one of the most fun games I've played in a long time and I would definitely like to see a sequel. The only real fault I can find is that the graphics can sometimes be so bad that it's distracting.

I didn't see much in the ending that perpetuated the idea of a sequel but who knows i may have missed something.

On topic: Eh, Not really. it was cool at the time but after trying it again recently i find that it's used for more of a catharsis stress relief.

If they just built on the first a little I'd be all over it. I enjoyed the first one quite a bit (went back to play it a little bit today).

Not really.
It wasn't a bad game, but there wasn't a whole lot to it aside from the lets-kill-that-thing-in-the-most-creative-way. I don't think that necessitates a sequel.

I liked Prototype. It wasn?t the best game ever, but it was defiantly worth playing. I had a great time going through and tearing up the city.
As for a sequel, I probably would play it just to see it because I liked the first game. It won?t be something I would be dying to play, but I think if they take what was good in the first game and improve it, it will probably be a great game.

I would just be curious as to how they will continue the game in the sequel.

I would buy it, but they would have to do a few things first

one: change the environment to a more open setting, maybe the mountains of Minnesota or a forest close to a city do you could have the best of both worlds?

two: give us more then the extendo tentacle of death and the Kha-Mka-Ha-May-tentacle rape as the only good weapons.

three: more guns, a sniper rifle maybe?

and four: make the AI smarter then Gerbils.

I actually wont mind it. The free running/flying/go up against walls were pretty fun. Combat was decent.

But seriously stop blowing up the same house.

The people commenting on the difficulty of prototype are confusing.

If you played on piss easy (read: any difficulty setting other than the highest), then yea, the game was kinda boring. Of course, the highest difficulty setting (that you either need to download a save or beat the game twice to unlock), at best, felt more like "normal" than whatever it was called.

Also, sandbox games with super powers (that weren't just some movie/comic tie-in) took way too long start getting developed for prototype and infamous to be the last ones.

Are you joking? Throwing stuff into stuff on top of stuff was hilarious! The word stuff can be pretty much anything in the game world.

I wouldn't mind if they gave the new prototype (Please lord don't bring back Mercer) the ability to learn more than one form, so you could save a soldier AND an old person for when you want to randomly sprint round the city as a possessed OAP.

There was a lot of fun to be had with the powers and running around the buildings and such. The missions needed some work though and while the plot wasn't particularly spell binding, it still ended with a logical conclusion.
However I still enjoy Prototype as a flawed gem that I pop into my console every now and then when I just want to run around the city and fly.... if a sequel could make it better then by all means.

That said, when the plot wrapped up it seemed to wrap up all the loose ends too.

No. The only thing I enjoyed in it was massacaring alot of unknown people with op abilities.
I can do that in the current game, I wouldn't need to buy the second. I also wouldn't want to pay to access a couple new ways to kill stuff.

Prototype is just a very gorey stress ball.

I didn't like it that much. It may have been the fact that playing a bland killing machine lost it's appeal fast. Maybe I just like a bit more depth in my story. That said, I proably wouldn't buy it if they created a sequel.

I would enjoy a sequel. They hinted at one with the story, and I like the studio that it came from, so I'd be happy to support it. It's not necessary, but it would be fun.
