Poll: Do you want Yahtzee to review Final Fantasy XIII?

I hope he reviews it because Final Fantasy has been nothing but crap after Tactics. I enjoyed 5,6,7,Tactics and even a bit of Crisis Core, the newer ones just don't have any soul behind them.

That's just my feelings on it, I'm sure there's plenty who loved the others and that's cool.

After seeing Shiva...a motorcycle of 2 women who link and the black dood with a chocobo in his hair and hearing that the lead artist wanted a "female Cloud" (which just screams sellout to me) I just hate the game instantly it's just dumb

I don't want Yahtzee to review the game because, well, he's hate it even before he got the box open. Yahtzee is a Caustic Critic, but even so his attitude towards JRPGs is nothing short of unashamedly biased, so asking him to review a game as "JRPG-ish" as FFXIII is just a waste of time.

Besides, we know the game is badly flawed already, so we know what criticisms he's going to make: as linear as a piece of string, boring and repeptative (run down corridor, fight, watch cutscene, repeat ad nauseum) as well as the usual (undeserved) complaints about wangsty anorexic characters with absurd hair.

i don't see why not. its another game. its popular. let Yahtzee rip it apart. not to say that i dont like any of the FF games (8 is my fave) just because hes very critical, and i am interested in what he will say.

God no. Final Fantasy VII and IX were fun for me. X sucked. X-2 REALLY sucked. All the new ones really suck. XIII sounds just as bad as any JRPG since Final Fantasy X. Until Final Fantasy VII gets a graphical update and voice cast, i don't have Square-Enix's back on the FF games. Kingdom Hearts though, oh yes!

It would be much more entertaining to see him review something your not sure about whether he'd like or not (most likely not) rather then review something he obviously already hates. It just takes away the surprise.

A chance to have the king of silly hair doos, big weapons and suspisouly feminine male protagonists taken down a few pegs? Of course! Why else do we watch Yahtzee week after week if not to hear some crtical commentry; picking apart game after game, regardless of its status in the dwey eyed typings of other internet game reviewers!

And for starters the fact that the boxart, in order to appeal to that certain demograph, depicts Lighting showing a substantial slice of inner thigh. Even Bayonetta didnt have to resort to that! Ok the woman behind the till looked at me funny when I bought it but that's probably more due to whats on the disc rather than on the box....
