I'm frankly not interested in Zero Punctuation anymore. There are far better things on the escapist. Also they don't insult you for any of your natural favoured genres. ZP has pretty much lost it's charm to me.

So my answer would be Yes. Let him review it. Just because I don't like it anymore doesn't mean everyone else shouldn't.

Only if he's going to review something that actually matters alongside it(Like the Left 4 Dead 2/New Super Mario Bros. Wii review). Otherwise, no, because I already know the gist of what he's going to say, and I already know I don't want the game. It would be a waste of time for both of us.

In all seriousness? FFXIIIzomgwtf is bad even for a Final Fantasy. It's about as stereotypically JRPG as your average Persona game. Moreso in that it's a complete let down in terms of actually being a /game/.

Would he pan it? Yes. So would every other sane person on the planet. Because (*GASP*) it's bad. I'd only say he'd like reviewing it if he enjoy doing Too Human.

May I ask why you think this?
For I am curious how it is bad if you have yet to play it and I am wondering if you are judging it before you've played it. Yes, I'll admit I'm also judging it before I play it, I think it'll be good, but why do you call anyone who likes it 'insane' for doing so in the process.

I don't think he should. He's done a jRPG once, did exactly what everyone thought he was going to do and tore it apart, he's often expressed a hatred of the FF series, and so I can't quite see what anyone would gain from this, apart from more excuses to hate on him, which is just ridiculous.

Honestly, if you love FFXIII, why do you need Yahtzee to confirm your opinion unless you're secretly worried that it's not as good as you're trying to pretend? And if you hate FFXIII, why do you need to see Yahtzee echo that opinion, can't you just let your hatred simmer in private?

No. Yahtzee has made his disdain for JRPG`s crystal clear. As such, his review of a Final Fantasy would simply be covering the same ground again.

Bias comes with a personal opinion, but Yahtzee is so biased on this matter that it is pointless for him to express it again. I`d rather he review a game which he does not consider bad even before starting it.

I doubt most people 'need' Yahtzee to do FFXIII purely for the review, I'd say more because we hope it'd be funny and It's good to see games poked fun at. Sure there are some people who will take it seriously as a review on a game they love, but as long as entertaining videos are made I'm happy.

Four things: 1. Final Fantasies (Final Fantasys?) are not all bad, and they're not all great. They all have specific flaws and virtues that appeal to their audience. Are you wrong for hating them? Depends. If you hate them because they are from Japan and don't have any shooting, well that's your business. If you hate them because it's cool to do so, then yes you're wrong.
2.Yahtzee will review what he damn pleases. It's been said a lot, so yeah.
3. Fanboys are in the wrong too. FF is not perfect. I've been a fanboy forever, but criticism is a vital part of the gaming community. If we tell them what they're giving us is perfect, they'll keep giving us that! And FF is far from perfect.
4. Actually play the damn game before you spout off criticism about how it sucks. Seriously, should I even have to say that? And by play, I mean at least an hour past the tutorial.

He's never reviewed what I would consider a proper JRPG (I don't recognise Valkyria Chronicles or Demon's Souls as RPGs), so it was would blow my mind to see him tear FFXIII a new one!

Weird since they both are.
One is SRPG the other is ARPG. I'd say Demon's Souls is an ARPG in the same vein as ME2.

I've played some Valkyria Chronicles. The only thing in common to RPGs were the cut scenes. To me it was just a tactical game. I haven't played Demon's Souls, and even though it has the RPG stamp, it looks to play WAY too much like an action game.

When I say JRPG, I mean along the lines of: Final Fantasy, Magna Carta, Lost Odyssey, Tales of ....., Eternal Sonata, Infinite Undiscovery, Last Remnant, Blue Dragon, Shadow Hearts and Dragoneer's Aria (though I wouldn't wish that game upon anyone).

I like to see him rip games i love to shreds, it tends to give balance to my views since i rarely see things wrong enough in games to be bothered about.
Although there are some flaws which are day light obvious even to me.
