I think that it's completely and utterly useless to WANT yahtzee to review anything. He will review it if he wants to. Which I doubt considering his opinion on jRPGs.

Also no, I don't really want yahtzee to review that game, because cookie cutter JRPGs have the same cookie cutter flaws that are already mentioned and criticized to death. It would be a boring review.

You'd be right, if this was a cookie cutter JRPG. But it's not.

What makes it stand out?

Full real time battles. No stupid towns where you wander pointlessly talking to dull NPCs. High action. The standard FF summon creatures are now VEHICLES. You play a girl, which hasn't been done in FF since FF6.

Every FF game since 7 has a completely different combat system and world. Which makes each different games entirely.

Yatzee's opinions always really negative (So I pretty much ignore him as a reviewer) but he's always funniest when taking the piss out of a game he really hates. So hell yes, review this!

I want to seem him tear the staple of JRPG to sherds and make all of thhose fanboys go out and rage all over the forums.

But I also don't want him to waste his time reviewing a game most will already figure to be just like the last 9000 versions/every other run of the mill JRPG.

Those sound like paltry cosmetic changes, besides the omission of towns. Also high action? What exactly does that vague phrase even mean?

He's never reviewed what I would consider a proper JRPG (I don't recognise Valkyria Chronicles or Demon's Souls as RPGs), so it was would blow my mind to see him tear FFXIII a new one!

Anyways, I'd love to see his reaction, not a review, to Lost Odyssey's dream sequences.

Hmmm. I haven't actually played it yet, to my surprise, I suppose it's close enough to a JRPG. It looked closer to a fighting game (with some walking around to get to these battles), but it's labelled as action role-playing, so I'll take your word for it.

He would react to LO dream sequences negativley, as he does everything (which is why he is so dear to our hearts!), mostly because he is a game critic, not a literary critic.

I was once a Japanophile, in the before-time, when I actually watched anime. But your point is valid and does betray my otaku status.

That certainly would be original. Honestly I don't care what he reviews. I don't base my purchases on this and no matter what the game is, it's (almost) always entertaining.

Also good luck trying to convince Yahtzee to play a JRPG.
