I always have it on in the car, I feel uncomfortable without it.

And by the way, that was a very well done video.

What I never understood is people who don't wear there seat belts. They always come up with great stories about how some distance person they know died or was paralyzed because they wore them. I doubt most of the time its true and does one in a billion freak accident really trump cold hard statistics that show seat belts save lives.

The law says i have to, but wear it anyway. :p

I'm usually not the one driving so i don't want to put my life in someone else's hands.

Glad to see everyone here chose the same answer.

Yeah I always wear one, its bloody stupid not to. What's the point? It takes 2 seconds, it's not uncomfortable, and it can save your life.

Also, its not 'in fashion' to drive without a seatbelt.

I never use to, but since we got a new car that constantly beeps if you don't buckle up, I learned to buckle up before driving away. That beeping is waaaaay too annoying, and not worth the minor inconvenience of a seatbelt. Also, the police recently raised the fees for tickets for not buckling up, so that played a part in my decision too.

Law requires me to. Would wear one anyway.

That said, the serious accident I was involved getting T-boned and the belt didn't seem to do much about the side impact (twat claimed that he didn't see me...I was in a learner vehicle with a massive sign on the foor. He was convicted. I was never the same).

Does the poll refer to when I'm in a car, or when I'm just walking about? 'Cos someone wearing a seatbelt while just walking 'round would look rather odd.

There is an advert making the rounds in the UK, which shows the dangers of wearing a seatbelt. If you hit something, your body stops, but your internal organs keep moving forward, and slam into your ribcage (or whatever). If you don't wear a seatbelt, you have more time to slow down before your body actually stops, so the UKs "wear a seatbelt" campaign has made me think twice about putting one on.

Always, it's the law.

Plus a while back I did a physics project on the human body in a car crash, it basically worked out that from about 7mph upwards anyone not wearing a seatbelt is all but certain to suffer fatal head injuries. Laminate windscreens and A-pillars don't move when somebody's face hits them, at all.
