Nope. I have a cell phone. And watches feel really unwieldy once you're used to not wearing one.

Of course. A man looks unprofessional without one. I wear an analog watch with a leather band. It's simple, but I'm not a fan of over designed ones with an excess of features. I think metal bands are gaudy and uncomfortable. A thick band of warm, brown leather with a subdued and rugged face that's easy read at a glace is perfect for me.

I do, but only because it's a smart watch (Samsung Gear). Though sometimes I don't bother wearing it, it's useful at work. If I get an urgent call or text, I'll know immediately and don't have to actually pull out my phone to take/read it.

Fuck yeah I do, this beauty.

It's an automatic, which means it uses the wearer's movements to keep the spring wound, but you can also do so manually, there's something that can be said about a watch that needs no batteries, clockwork is fascinating to watch :3

I have a watch, but I never wear it. For years and even now my wrists have always been too skinny to comfortably wear one. Fortunately I'm usually never far from something that can tell me the time.

DAMMIT DAYSTAR.

So, uh, I have exactly this watch. Exactly this one. Except it's from Kenneth Cole. I got it as a graduation gift. :D

I used to. I rather liked it, and it saved me the hassle of fishing out my phone whenever I just wanted to know the time.

These days, though, I work with food and spend an awful lot of time washing my hands, and you aren't allowed to wear wristwatches or bracelets most of the time either way. It's a bit of a shame, but I don't have to worry about breaking it whenever I bang my wrist.

I work from home now so I no longer require a watch and thus don't wear one. The second I get any job outside of my home a watch becomes a requirement for me. I don't own a cellphone or another portable device that tells me the time or lets me time my breaks so I'd buy a watch for convenience.

When I wear a watch it's just a simple digital Timex watch.
None of Daystar's garbage where you have to take a moment to process the actual time. Far too inconvenient.

I would, if my watch's strap wasn't broken and I can't get it easily fixed because apparently I need to send my watch back to Fossil HQ or some shit to get a new one, as it's an old model. Or at least that's what one jewelry store told me, maybe I should check another. I really like wearing a watch, it looks good.

That baby just makes me feel all tight around the loins. Oh my that's some clockwork glory right there. How much did it set you back? Because I want me one of those alright.

RRP is about £200 I think, but I got it for like £145.

Very affordable class :3

Yes, I wear a steel analogue one. I only wear it when I'm going out, I never wear it at home, I always take it off as soon as I get home. It's partly out of habit, partly out of practicality. I have a smartphone too but my phone can run out battery and it isn't always as convenient taking it out of my pocket, looking at my wrist is quicker.

Sheesh, you call that the affordable class? You rich ************. Seems like I'll have to stare at that gorgeous thing like a Dickens child staring through a toy store window for quite some time to come. Some day...

Yep, I've worn a watch since I was in Grade 7. So about 20 years now. It's a lot more convenient than digging out my phone when I just want to know what time it is.

Y'all got me trying mine on for the first time in about 18 months. Battery, still keeping time but the second counting hand is waiting 5 seconds to move, then moving an entire 5 seconds. Odd. I'm pretty sure it wasn't doing that before. Must be, after 15 years, dying.

Thing feels clunky and heavy but I hear what y'all are saying about looking like a man at work and the convenience of glancing at a watch vs. my phone.

I used to wear a watch religiously, and was the kind of person who had to have it properly timed to the second. But then I developed carpal tunnel and my wrists couldn't take any pressure anymore, so I haven't worn one in years. If my wrists miraculously healed I'd prolly slap one right back on.

I have my great-grandfather's 1937 Hamilton gold wristwatch. I've got a phone I use most of the time, but it's been in the family for four generations so I feel obligated to wear it. After all, how else can I show I'm a man of wealth and taste?

I'd love to have one, but my job is hard on them and the wrong watch is hard on me too. thus the diving watches that would really meet my needs are sadly outside my budget. They are not as important for my job as they had been due to a point of sale system upgrade in the restaurant I work at, but I still need to reference the time better than I can right now and I do not have a wireless phone to check and would not have out during a shift anyway as it's horrifyingly unprofessional.
