Not really. I just wear thin wool ones when it's really cold out and I don't want to lose a finger.

And, of course...

Tight leather ones.

For my killing sprees.
Yeah... Tight leather gloves, long-sleeved, grayish-colored shirt, cargo pants, dark shoes, and a syringe full of sedative. Perfect wardrobe for those times that you just need to chop someone up into little pieces.

I need to stop watching that show so much. It's turning me into a psychopath.

I wear black leather gloves when it gets cold out. I really like 'em. Partly because I've always wanted to be Darth Vader. At least, before the prequels came out.

Well, minus the bottom bits, they're pretty much the same.

This is because the UK is considered the windiest country in Europe, my wee hands tend to get very cold due to the Arctic winds from the North.

And so I ask you, Do you wear gloves?
If so? What reasons do you have for wearing them?

You can of course post pictures of the gloves you have or similar gloves, or even gloves you might want to have.
Just be considerate about people with poorer connections to the internet and spoiler tag them.
very nice choice my friend, i can't fault you for taste :)

and only when i need them, so this winter when it dropped two feet of snow on my house, then.

I love wearing gloves since my hands get cold very easily. When I'm inside school I just have a pair of fingerless knit gloves and when in winter I have a pair of fleece gloves. I like the fabric ones more because they're more flexible, though I would want a pair of leather gloves if they weren't so expensive.

I wear lots of gloves. Nitrile or Latex gloves in the lab, leather "strangler" gloves when walking (it is -20C without the windchill right now), leather technician gloves (thick yet flexible leather palmed gloves) biking, gortex ski gloves skiing, and neoprene gloves (kevlar palms) or mitts scuba diving.

I don't usually like wearing gloves, because it makes it so awkward to handle anything like money or my keys or whatever. I reckon that as far as keeping my hands warm goes, my pockets are good enough, and they provide extra security at the same time because if my hands are in my pockets, no-one can pickpocket me :D.

However, there is one, single activity that I've recently started doing more, and that is cycling. I cycle to work three evenings a week, and then back again late at night. And since it's winter, and I live in the North of England, my hands get bloody freezing. So much so that my parents bought me cycling gloves for Christmas, which I now use every time I go out on my bike. Such a useful thing to have, they're the only gloves I ever really wear.

I would wear gloves now, but its summer, too damn hot. I always wear gloves in the winter though. My Knuckles get very dry from exposure in winter.

I don't wear gloves, but I have this weird condition with my hands that causes them to sweat near constantly unless cooled below temperatures of roughly 22^oC. Because I live in stinking hot North Queensland (Australia) that is almost 24/7... unless it's winter and I'm realllly lucky.

This causes massive problems for me when it comes to paper work, exposed electronics and anything water-sensitive. Paperwork has these ugly blotches of wet on them (try putting your hand under a tap, drying lightly and then trying to sign an important form, every time before you need to do something with paper) and I regularly find myself handling electronics for some reason which I am not aware of, which usually means they end up fried when we try to use them. By electronics, I mean computer hardware.

At one point in my life, I tried taking a small hand towel with me in my pocket, only to find it often didn't fit in there quite right, making my pocket bulge like something was growing on my leg, and leaving it hanging out was just too dangerous; not that people might steal it, but rather it might just catch on something and I would't realise it.

So, now that my rant is over (feels good to finally say something to what small portion of the world will actually read this), I will re-iterate by saying that while I don't wear gloves, I really should.

Can you buy gloves for other parts? i mean for feet you call them socks...

OT: I have a pair of nice leather driving gloves, and some rougher fingerless leather gloves. Pretty good for various occasions. Mainly avoiding the cold.

Well, considering it was -35 today, -47 with the windchill, when I went to Uni today. Had I not had a pair, my hands would be gone.
