I have ADHD and I am completely shy. I do well in situations though that are do or die because of the adrenaline rush that comes out of it. I lack eye contact if I am easily distracted , like if I'm talking to someone and something else interesting is going on. The difference is though in the natural understanding of eye contact, verses the complete lack of. People who naturally make eye contact but are scared are more likely to be shy. I would like to say that the people who made comments insisting that people with aspergers can get rid of their problems if they try, DO NOT actually have aspergers, and were most likely misdiagnosed. Like I said, thank god for the dsm change, because now if your diagnosed as autistic, it will most likely actually be ACCURATE.
