PC gamers can make mods and play mods, though. So, most games have an infinate amount more replayability. I think that's worth a lot.

You know,it's hard to be PC gamer these days. But don't complain - you have RTSes,you have better version of Team Fortress 2,and you have abundance of flash and indie games.

So in general,it's not so bad.
dont forget the modding community

PC gaming will live forever... It will always be the bastion of thinking persons games that are less fluff more gameplay.

If you want to kill 30 mins.. Meh an xbox or PS3 work I suppose... havent found anything on them I like...

If you want a good city sim, or an RTS you can actually play... Its PC or NOTHING....

If anything I think it's the console users that are being gypped, they get nothing but useless fluff and halo clones... If you want depth, not a wading pool you need a PC.

PC games are better

Better graphics
Faster patches (dont have to be approved by MS or Sony)
FREE DLC
much much faster loading w/ installs
MODS
Keyboard & Mouse

therefore PC games are going to stay around for a looooong long time.
Consoles are just more popular because it's the entry point to gaming & gaming has blown up over the past 10 years. A lot of console gamers will move to PC when they get more experienced.

I do for the following reasons
Proper Internet intergration (PS3 browser...shudder)
Quick save quick load
Gameplay recording (fraps) video editing (pinnacle studio) Then posting to Interwebs (youtube)
Never needing to leave the chair
No cd so no constant switching of discs, just a double click
Emulators with save states, hacked Roms, high re texture packs
User replacable parts my computer can still function even if the optical drive dies and replacing one is cheaper and faster than sending back an entire console for one repair

and most importanly choice do I play a game with keyboard and mouse or do i play with a controller (even a Wii remote)
The answer of course is yes

inb4 this turns into another PC vs. console mud wrasslin' match,
IMHO the big publishers prefer consoles; partly because there's less piracy, partly because it's a little easier to write games for fixed hardware configurations, partly because they can put a lot less effort and depth into the game and still make a packet.

Meh, there's just as much piracy on consoles (360, PSP, DS, etc...), as PC, if not more. I actually buy my PC games. I know 360 owners who have towers of DVD's with burned 360 games.
Your kidding right... The piracy rate on Wii and 360 is nothing compared to PC

This plus free dlc better content and the greatest of all MODS seriously you can turn your game into anything my fallout 3 resembles a 40k warzone with moira brown dancing on a platform where the bomb used to be.

I didn't say Wii. But 360, absolutely, it's easier to pirate games for the 360 than it is for the PC, actually. Takes about an hour to mod, and boom you can download any 360 image and burn it straight to DVD. Whereas, with PC's, developers have gotten good at making things...difficult (not impenetrable...but still difficult), sure, I can go and find any game I really want for PC. Fact is, I own them all anyway. Not to mention sometimes having to use daemontools, or some other virtual drive to mount an iso. Etc... Or cracks and keygens etc... Yeah, it's easier to pirate games for a 360, and out of everyone I know, more 360 pirating happens than PC.

And as for why the MW2 special edition isn't on the PC, it's because alot of kids with money in their pocket with an X360 or PS3 will see the shiny box and go "ME WANT!" where as not alot of these idiots own a competent enough rig. Not to degrade anyone with a brain that actually is getting but you can see where I'm trying to get with this.
Nah its because retail chains don't really serve the PC gamers anymore so its not worth the extra expense when Digital distribution is on the rise didn't Steam see a 97% increase compared to the previous year
