Poll: Does Anyone Actually Get Annoyed By Kids on XBL?

Or PSN, but I'm writing this from an XBL (especially Halo 3) standpoint.

So, during my time on teh intarwebz, there is lots of talk about 'ZOMG HALO 3 KIDZ ARE TEH SUCKSORES!' and the like. What I was wondering was if anyone actually found them horrible and something that would actually stop you from playing the game like the rest of the internet would have you believe.

For me, unless they're singing at the top of their voices or generally not trying to be annoying, I actually find them quite funny to listen to. It's just quite interesting to hear people talking, and I don't think that 12-13 year olds are really that game-breaky,(unless of course, they're trying to be. And that's just not cool) and am not bothered at all, really.

Sometimes, the arguements are incredibly funny to listen to.

And on the few occasions I have encountered annoying people, I just mute them. Simple.

I never put on a headset to listen if a kid is on.

I just memorize their username and teabag them later.

i kinda hate kids playing halo 3
but i just mute them i shout stfu down the headset. its always funny listenin to the response i get. then i just wait for them to tk me for no reason an bam uve just been kicked. either that i just teabag then

I've only ever played on PSN. There haven't really been any anoying incidents from my experience.

I'd prefer some more reasonable options on the poll.

I play in a private party so as not to hear annoying people or try and talk to them only to realise nobody has a headset or that the people who do are pricks.

To be honest around 70-80% of the time nobody on my team has a headset on anyway, or they don't know how to use it.

It's difficult to get some strategic play going on when there are kids with squeeky voices shouting. A game like GTAIV has some multiplayer modes that require good teamplay. Sadly enough that game also attract dumbass kids and gangster wannabe's.

Not only annoying but also a waste, because there could really be some epic actionpacked multiplayer sessions going on. There should be more multiplayer options in contemporary games anyway. Like choosing to play only with people with headsets on or an age filter (this would make for a nice thread btw).

Well the thing is that it's not always the kids that are annoying, I have come across more pricks around the 16-21 age than I have younger players. Even when I played Halo 3 I didn't come across anywhere near as many pricks as I did playing Gears of War. From what I have heard COD 4 is worse anyway.

you know what i mean that high, no-balls voice pitch that makes your ears bleed, on such an occaision i try to make them leave from excessive abuse, if this fails, i boot when possible, when this isnt i mute

and there is the stupid ones, the ones who think they have something to prove, i ridicule these to my great amusment, and usually those around me

BUT when you come across the rare one, the one who actually wants to learn and is willing to accept that you can teach somethign, im fine

and on the other side of the spectrum, the 12-year-old who can rape your ass and still be a good sport, these quickly recieve friend invites

I completely agree, COD and gears are two of the worse one for it, but admittedly it was that kind of lunacy that made me sell my Halo 3, when they start singing is the last straw, its usually shit songs too, does get tedious after 15 minutes of someone shouting the chorus to that utter crap "poker face" down the line.

The only time ive laughed at kids, was once on CoD4, 3 people having an argument and every second word was "*****", that passed an hour

It's not really their voices that annoy me, it's what the're saying. If you are saying I have hacks or cheated in some way just because I beat you, I'm not going to like you. I have got messages from one kid who sounded young on Street Fighter complementing my playstyle. That was refreshing after the hatemail I was expecting.

Not really,but thats because i turn the sound off when i play online and listen to music,The kids would annoy me otherwise
