I have an active dislike of the summer. Its too hot, fat people start walking around dressed innapropriately, people try and scam money out of you more, all the insects and stuff come out, the sun is EVIL and trying to kill me and people wanrt me to do stuff more.
I just like sitting at home with my computer games and internet. I dont want to go to the beach and work on my tan, i'm fine being pale white.
Roll on winter and the snow and the freezing cold rain.

Summer is quite fine, until you get your 30 degrees celcius weeks. You can't be outside in fear of evaporization, and everything electric inside overheats, so no consoles or computers.

So basically you can only sit in your basement, drink beer, and pretend to be a basement troll.

But other than that, I enjoy the comfortably warm, perhaps sunny days that I can take a nice ride on the motorbike on. Not so fond of beaches though; they tend to be rather crowded, and you can't really swim 'cause of all the broken bottles hidden in the shallower parts.

But seriously, nothing beats a nice, 20 degrees celcius sunny day, with a mild seabreeze stroking your face as you sit and stare over the archipelago.

The summer's great! You can head out to the beach with a couple of mates, school's out, so you can pretty much do whatever the hell you want all the time and there's generally so much free time. The problem is when you run out of things to do, there's not a whole lot TO do some of the time. Especially in friggin' Devon ¬.¬ I need to get a job pretty soon.
EDIT: I prefer the winter though, I'm naturally more attuned to the cold :p

I don't dislike summer, that's when you can get all the best hiking done. Sure, it's hot but after a few weeks I get used to it and then I'm fine.
I truly hate spring, though, rainy weather, smelly flowers, allergies...

What ARE you talking about? The sun is lovely! In fact I am in my garden catching some rays at this eact moment. If you're worried about the health issues almost everything gives you cancer/illness these days apparantly so you might as well enjoy stuff regardless. And wear sun lotion.

Australian summers suck. I've had +45[sup]o[/sup]C days in my backyard, when we didn't have air conditioning. Fuck the sun, fuck the surf, fuck the sand; give me a warm bed, a storm outside and a book any night.

Bugs, heat exhaustion, having to cut the grass, lines, people playing music constantly across the street. Plus I'm not an outdoors person.

I'm boring, yeah. :c

Finally, someone who hates summer as much a I do. Winter is much better. Good for games, family time, more games, food, more games and Christmas.

I know how you feel. Plus I have embarrassingly hairy legs, thus why I don't ever wear shorts, so to me going to a beach on a hot day can be semi-torture.

You're looking at it all wrong, guy.

I have an active love of the summer. It's nice and hot, all the pretty girls start walking around dressed inappropriately, people hand out free samples on the street more often, all the hippies come out, the sun makes me feel GOOD and people want to do more stuff with me.

I don't really like just sitting at home with my computer games and the internet. Sometimes I really do want to go to the beach and do something that makes me feel less lonely and sad, even though I'm fine being pale white.

Bugger off winter with your snow and your freezing cold rain.

Dont be such a big fairy. People have been out and in the sun since we were recognisable as people. The sun provides vitamin D. If you're sensible then its good for you.

Go outside and enjoy it. Get yourself into a body of water and have some fun. Go into town and see how the attractive women are dressed in less. Go to the park/country side and do something different. You can laugh at those with horrific sunburn too.

It's win win. Are you a goth?

I don't really like it, it's too boring. The beach to me is just water and sand.

No i'm not a goth, more of a nerd. Defintely not a goth. I just dont likke going outside
And you can be quite hard pressed to find attractive girls innapropriately dressed in middlesbrough (in england).
I got dragged to the beach yesterday by my friends and was bored the entire time. I ended up just going down the puband spending money in the arcades on time crisis which you can do any time of year.
I think the only good thing about summer is BBQs.

Summer : Can go swimming and play basketball outside.

Winter : Can't go swimming or play basketball outside.

Summer wins by default, dude.
Also, i hate winter.
