Poll: Does anyone alse hate he summer as much as me?

Meh. Summer is way better than winter which dries your skin, dries your nose, makes days shorter, makes midday sun harsher, and generally freezes you to the core. In winter it's harder to spread butter on bread and the ground is covered in leaves and the trees are bare. Winter creates ideal conditions for wild fire.

Summer has rain, greener plants, fuller creeks, good swimming and barbecue weather and longer days. I love it.

Of course I suppose it depends to a large degree on where you live. If you hate over half your weather, you should seriously consider moving.

The only thing I hate about summer is the bugs and the fact that I don't have any summer clothes.

I feel silly walking around in black clothes when everyone is in light blues and pinks...

Summer and winter each have their own pros and cons - since I like it so much here on the fence, I'm going to have to say that I like and dislike both equally:

Pros:
The light in summer, especially after a long winter, makes me feel happy. And the warmth of a late summer afternoon, sitting in the backyard having drinks with friends, is awesome.

I love the sound of storms, lightning and heavy rain, and the feeling of being toasty warm in bed in winter.

Cons:
Since I live in NZ, where thanks to the Northern Hemisphere's pollution we have precisely NO ozone layer =P , I burn extremely quickly, which makes going out and actually enjoying the sun difficult between the hours of 9am and 5pm. You cannot believe how much better off you are when you have an ozone layer!!!! Also, when it gets *really hot*, there's just nothing you can do. At least in winter you can put more clothes on etc.

Winter = colds. Colds suck. Therefore winter sucks.

I kinda like the summer, the sunny weather and relaxed attitude are cool. Lying in bed at 2am thinking, damn this heat keeping me awake sucks though.

Each has it's ups and downs, if I had hayfever I'd probably prefer winter though (personally I like spring and autumn, but maybe thats just me)

I used to dislike the summer too, too much sweating, too many over weight people dressing in the least ammount of clothes possible.

But, as ive grown up, i love summer, being able to wearshorts and 3/4 length shorts.
Being able to wear glasses, relax outside the pub with friends.

So in short. No I don't hate summer.

I only get colds in summer. Winter is a healthy season.

I can't stand the heat and the bugs. It annoys me every year when our house becomes a spider motel. Also, somebody always leaves a door open and then we have a bunch of flies buzzing in little squares around the living room. Also, tattoos start creeping out of the clothes of unattractive folks in the summer.

I have an active dislike of the summer. Its too hot, fat people start walking around dressed innapropriately, people try and scam money out of you more, all the insects and stuff come out, the sun is EVIL and trying to kill me and people wanrt me to do stuff more.
I just like sitting at home with my computer games and internet. I dont want to go to the beach and work on my tan, i'm fine being pale white.
Roll on winter and the snow and the freezing cold rain.

I love summer. It's warm, sun's shining and school's out, just makes me wanna sit in the sun, close my eye's and enjoy the fact that I'm alive. I also like winter. Snow, Chistmas and winter-break are great. I like autumn as well as I've really liked rain since I was little, also my birthday is in October ;P. The time of year that I like the least is spring. It just feels like a long wait for summer.
