What if Robin was more Crazy then Batman ?

Like Venom and Carnage, Carnage is far more insane then Venom with his need to kill and torture.

Makes sense as well since Robin also had his parents murdered right in front of him, only he didn't have anyone else while Bruce Wayne had Alfred. If Robin could be made more un predictable then Batman it could be very intresting.

fuck, I'm the only one who voted batgirl... at the time I voted.

No, Batman needs bat-girl because everyone is sex crazed nowadays, if batman has a dog as his new sidekick people will ask "are they fucking?" (not really, but you know they would with Robin) so it might as well be an adult female human as a sidekick for now and get rid of the awkwardness.
She's like 14 and there's implications that they fucked in Batman Beyond! Batman does not need the Commissioner Gordon's jailbait running around!
Actually... if you watched Batman TAS (or knew anything about the backstory) She was in college when she became Batgirl (so 18+) and was OUT of college when she and Bruce were a couple.

And WHICH Robin would you recommend, OP? There's been several, all with different personalities.
Well, I don't agree with MovieBob, I don't think adding Robin is a great idea. But ever since Under the Hood (which they're making an animated film of), Jason has been my favourite Robin.

Her age depends on which series we're talking about. When discussing the brilliance of the 90's Batman nior animated series, yes though their relationship would have been legally acceptable, we're still talking about a man fucking someone half his age who he has known since her childhood and treated like a daughter in many aspects. That revelation struck me as very odd. That was just never a coupling I would have seen coming. A short lived coupling of Batman and Cat-woman producing a child would've been unexpected, but not shocking. My reaction to that was one of shock. It's obvious that it ended quickly/would have never worked out, but that it happened was really weird.
-Also, I was trying to make a joke. Unfortunately, most of my jokes provoke the same reaction in public. *sigh*

Yes to some degree the same stick get boring after a bit. I'm batman and I'm so angry and bla bla. Robin does not have to be sunny. Plus without a reason to go on WHY is going to start popping up.

I don't think Robin would fit in this current series unless played to perfection, but Nightwing is pretty damn cool.

Also, Bat-Girl is not so great, but Barbara Gordon as Oracle is cool.

There's one yes and two NO's...

Robin's not really needed, but he's always fun to add. He adds a little comic relief from time to time.

They could introduce him for like 5 minutes and then have Joker beat him to death with a crowbar?

Of course Batman needs Robin!

I mean, do you expect Batman to pedal his OWN bicycle?

Movie Bob said something during his review of The Losers that made me cringe: he actually proposed that the current Batman movie series should have Robin.
Seeing as the new Batman films are almost [sub]why so[/sub] 'serious' adding Robin would be like adding lead to a perfectly working rubber dingy

Christan Bale and Christopher Nolan both REFUSE to participate in the Batman movies if Robin comes in. So it a mute point.
That's a really stupid reason to refuse to be in a sequel. That said, I could care less. If done RIGHT Robin could be a good addition. Myself though would rather see Batgirl.

Unless everyone wants to say a homosexual love scene in which Batman takes advantage of Robin, then they ought to leave him out of it.

Actually, that could be quite hilarious...

My god! That's...the least effective set of poll options I've ever seen! Monocle pop!

OT: It would be very, very difficult to pull it off. Batman would need to spend half the movie brooding about how alone he is before him taking on a ward would seem remotely sensible. And the circumstances of Dick Grayson's recruitment would have to be very dark and tragic and somehow remind Bruce of himself. And then there would need to be at least two training montages and a lot of clever banter between the two of them before I would accept Robin fighting anything.

It could work...maybe. Precariously. As long as he shouts at a tearful and terrified Robin, "I'm the goddamn Batman!", I will forgive anything.

Remember, this is the actor who flipped a method-acting shit on the set of Terminator Salvation, a highbrow film if ever there was one. Bale does not strike me as a man who picks his battles.
