Poll: Does Batman really need Robin?

I've been playing Lego Batman a lot with my son lately, most levels require some of Robin's skills and so yes Batman does need Robin.

Personally I agree. But it won't happen. Batman Begins did well with a mainstream crowd because "OMG NEW BATMAN MOVIE", Dark Knight did well because "OMG THE JOKER". In the run up to it the average cinema goer wouldn't respond at all to her (probably assume it's Cat Woman or some bullshit). Maybe if she was teamed up with a more popular villain but other than that she's just not marketable to people who aren't comic book fans. (I'm assuming that were she to be introduced it would be as a villain, as her relationship with Batman and her father is too complex for one movie too handle. You just can't go from "You killed my father" to "I think I love you" in two hours.

I'm with you on that. I reckon she should be slowly developed, and maybe the whole "R'as al'Ghul can be reincarnated" thing should be spun on as it being a title as opposed to a single individual (not unlike multiple Popes sharing the same name), with her being the daughter of Liam Neeson's R'as? Introduce her in one film, and have her character and relationship with the Bat developed across a few, perhaps?
